* MissionControl: Takes this role in the second series finale, since literally every other hero is busy.busy.
* MythologyGag: His nickname comes from his habit of snapping his fingers. While he doesn't do it as frequently as his comic counterpart, he does do it at one point.

* NiceGal: Quickly reaches out to the new girl, Megan Morse, on her first day in school.

* NiceGal: Quickly reaches out to the new girl, Megan Morse, on her first day in school. She also offers Conner some support when he's in a funk during season 2.

* IHaveYourWife: Initially forced into going along with Queen Bee's plans not via her usual mind control, but because his daughter's being held hostage.

* DaChief: Hawkman and Hawkwoman's superior, he spends a lot of his screentime overriding and dismissing them.

* IncompatibleOrientation: Subverted. In "Quiet Conversations", she appears to have grown attracted to Kaldur, who has been romantically involved with Tula but was otherwise said to be at least gay by WordOfGay. After she kisses Kaldur on the cheek before leaving, he then kisses Wyynde, with WordOfGod making a clarifying statement that Kaldur is polysexual. So yes, Dolphin and Kaldur could theoretically be romantically involved with each other, but likely not at the moment due to Kaldur already being with someone else. Season 4 reveals that polyamory is practised in Atlantis [[spoiler: and the end of Kaldur's arc shows Kaldur, Wyynde, and Dolphin together]].[[invoked]]

** On that note, her ShipTease with Kaldur seems to be a reference to how she and ''Aquaman'' (Orin) had a thing before Mera (who abandoned him and Atlantis in the 1989 miniseries) came back, which led to her seeing ''Aqualad'' (Garth, who was already going by Tempest by this point) instead.
* {{Polyamory}}: Strongly implied to have joined [[spoiler: Kaldur and Wyynde in a relationship in the end of Kaldur's arc.]]

* ShipTease: She and Kaldur bond in "Quiet Conversations", with their last scene together being her kissing him on the cheek before leaving... and then it turns out that he's already seeing Wyynde, making her attraction to him one-sided. [[spoiler: Until Season 4, when it's revealed that polyamorous relationships are sometimes practised in Atlantis and she joins the two of them at the end]].
