* MilesGloriosus: He often likes to play up his Military service, making himself out as a hero. In reality, he was a sadistic bully who got a kick out of beating on innocent people.

* DirtyCoward: [[PlayingWithATrope Maybe]]. For all his talk about not fearing death, he [[spoiler:scares himself shitless after V dispatches his goons and comes at him. It's hard to tell, though, whether he's actually afraid that he's about to die, or simply (and understandably) freaking out that a man in front of him just ''took over a hundred bullets and is still standing'']].

* TenderTears: [[spoiler:Upon learning what V did to the Archbishop Lilliman. Of course, she doesn't know what the guy did to V so it's understandable.]]

* IllegalReligion: [[spoiler:Played with. Though he's not a Muslim he has a copy of the Qu'ran]].

** Both he and Protero are prominent public figures, but while Prothero is an arrogant, narcissitic bully who insults his co-workers, Gordon is soft-spoken, charming and friendly to his co-workers.

* DirtyCoward: Scares himself shitless after V dispatches his goons.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Feels disgusted about Sutler's cowardice, but he also get scared when V corners him.

* NotSoDifferentRemark: Refers to V and himself as being similar in that neither fear death, which V rebukes and [[spoiler:proves subverted when Creedy gives a look of terror as V moves to kill him]].

* KickTheSonOfABitch: He's obviously enjoying himself when brainstorming the Mouth's spin on [[spoiler:Lewis Prothero's]] death. Given that the scene before shows the latter pettily abusing his power over Dascombe, it's hard to really blame him.

* FunctionalAddict: He's shown to have a huge medicine cabinet with far more bottles than any one person should reasonably have. After his death the police search his house and notes that he "has enough (illegal drugs) to start his own pharmacy".

* KarmicDeath: Twofold. As mentioned under PlayingWithSyringes, her injections helped create V, and he kills her by injecting her with poison. However, since she was also the only one of the Larkhill Three to show remorse for her actions, V injects her unaware while she's asleep, and the poison he uses kills painlessly.

* VillainRespect: After being disgusted by his bosses InelegantBlubbering in the face of death he favourably compares V to Sutler in that he's certain V will FaceDeathWithDignity.

* EvilIsPetty: As is the case with any dictator, his governmental policies are the result of his own beliefs and personal wants. He offhandedly abuses his power to put the 1812 Overture (the music V played while destroying the Old Bailey) on the blacklist, simply because "[He] never wants to hear it again." [[spoiler:He later has Gordon ''murdered'' for making fun of him]].

* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He paints his regime's actions as necessary to protect England, but the fact that [[spoiler:he arranged a FalseFlagAttack on his own people that killed over 100,000 people concretely puts any thought of that (whatever was left) into the ground.]]

* CorruptChurch: They have one, with a PeodophilePriest as a Bishop who oversaw their concentration camp.
* EvilBrit:

* TheSociopath: Creedy is a high-functioning sociopath [[FauxAffablyEvil who doesn't bother to hide it]].

* BadBoss: A complete and total prick to everyone at his station. He yells at and berates a director over not liking the way his nose is displayed on camera, ordering him to fire the director of photography or risk losing ''his'' job instead. Evey's boss openly wishes someone were able to stand up to Prothero.
