* TheMedic: She's the SSS' designated healer, with her Holy Bullet Craft and her first S-Craft.
* {{Nerf}}: In the transition from ''Azure'' to ''Cold Steel IV'', Strike Bell went from being a Craft to a Brave Order, making it harder to use.
** Her Holy Bullet Craft was a practical GameBreaker in ''Zero'', as, for the low price of 40 CP, Elie could cast an [=AoE=] buff that heals everyone in range and gives them 20 CP each, including herself (meaning the Craft effectively costs 20 CP, so long as Elie is within its area of effect). It was nerfed from ''Azure'' onwards by increasing its CP cost up to 60 and making it so that it doesn't affect Elie herself. It was reverted back to the allowing her to be healed as well in ''Reverie'' though it still costs 60 CP.

* SpoiledSweet: She the granddaughter of Crossbell's wealthy mayor who is the most well-off of all the SSS' members but remains a NiceGirl.

* SpinAttack: His Axle Rush Craft, and it's upgraded variants Raging Spin (from ''Cold Steel II'') and Zero Breaker (''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie'') have him spin in place to suck the enemies in before striking them with his tonfas.

** When Elie was suffering a HeroicBSOD in Chapter 2 of ''Zero'' over being reminded of the heavy corruption in Crossbell's government which resulted in her parents' divorce, Lloyd reassures her that he and the rest of the SSS will help her every step of the way to make Crossbell a better place.
** When Randy unloads about how he felt like he didn't deserve to be with the SSS in chapter 3 of ''Azure'' due to his [[TheseHandsHaveKilled bloody past]], Lloyd tells him that the SSS will not hold his past against him and will support him with whatever burdens he has to deal with. He ends up repeating it to Randy in ''Reverie'' when the latter seems ready to go on a self-destructive rage on the Ebon Defense Force over their takeover Crossbell.
** During the ending og ''Reverie'' he calls out [[spoiler: Rufus, for pulling off his ZeroApprovalGambit, telling him that he shouldn't be so ready to sacrifice himself as he's got to go back to his new friends in Lapis, Swin, and Nadia.]]

* StunRod: His Stun Break Craft from the Crossbell duology has him electrocute a single enemy with his tonfas to impede arts and inflict Seal.

* ElementalHairColors: Has blue hair, and her primary orbal element is [[MakingASplash water]].

* SwissArmyWeapon: Magical staff, laser blade, and multi-mode BFG in one compact package.

* ActionDad: Officially became this to [=KeA=] by the time of ''Cold Steel III''.

* BreakMeter: His Brave Order Raging Hammer in ''Cold Steel IV'' increases break damage.

* CovertPervert: Some instances hint at this, such as being unable to deny having enjoyed it when Ilya [[TheGlomp hugged him]] while dressed in her {{Stripperific}} stage costume when they first met or not trying too hard to clear the misunderstanding with the Seeker sisters that resulted in him having ALadyOnEachArm. Further emphasized during ''Azure'''s [[BeachEpisode Intermission]], where he's unable to keep himself from commenting on the girls' figures, ''especially'' when [[IntimateLotionApplication applying sunscreen on them]].

* YouAreNotAlone: Give this speech to Elie in Chapter 2 of ''Zero'' when she was suffering a HeroicBSOD over being reminded of the heavy corruption in Crossbell's government which resulted in her parents' divorce. Then again to Randy in Chapter 3 of ''Azure'' when the latter unloads about how he felt like he didn't deserve to be with the SSS due to his [[TheseHandsHaveKilled bloody past]]. He gives it again during ''Reverie'' this time towards [[spoiler: towards Rufus, who was pulling off his ZeroApprovalGambit, that he really shouldn't sacrifice himself all that much and that he's got to go back to his new friends in Lapis, Swin, and Nadia.]]

** [[spoiler]]The relationship in general between mirrors the one between Guy and Arios but in reverse. Lloyd ended up forming his own bond with a Divine Blade like his brother before him but avoiding Guy's tragedy, with the clash in ideologies coming first instead and then begining a close friendship later as they work together closely to resolve a crisis in subsequent games like Cold Steel IV and Reverie. ]]

* UnstablePoweredChild: Her being an artificial Sept-Terrion, one noted to be even more powerful than the original at that, makes her a virtual RealityWarper at her most powerful. Mentally and emotionally however, she's still a little girl who ends up being manipulated by Grimwood and Mariabell to do their bidding thinking it's the best thing for her new family and ends up suffering a breakdown from the pressure near the end of ''Azure'' as a result of the unwanted burdens placed on her because of her powers.

* SquishyWizard: Has high ATS and a decent EP pool but low strength, defense, and HP. [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome Unsurprising, as she's the smallest and youngest member of the SSS, and is a tech expert]].

* DamageReduction: His second Brave Order in ''Reverie'', ''Toughness Shield'', reduces any damage the party takes by 50% for a few turns.

* DeathFromAbove: His third S-Craft, ''Meteor Breaker'', has him leap high into the air before delivering a devastating RollingAttack on the enemy.

* LifeDrain: His default Master Quartz in ''Reverie'', ''Brave'', restores some of his HP after attacking the enemy.

* RollingAttack: His third S-Craft, ''Meteor Breaker'' has him barrel down on the enemies by jumping high into the air and rolling into a ball at them at high speed.

* BeamSpam: Her Aerial Cannon and Divine Crusade S-Crafts both have her launching numerus blasts of orbal energy at her opponents, with the latter adding {{Roboteching}} and YinYangBomb for extra awesomeness.

* DamageIncreasingDebuff: In ''Reverie'', her ''Divine Crusade'' Craft can inflict the Weakness debuff on enemies for two turns, which makes them take more damage from orbal arts.

* ExtraTurn: Her ''Strike Bell'' Craft allows her teammates to each the next turns immediately, with her Brave Order from ''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie'', ''Cross Strike'' having the same effect.

* InconsistentDub: "Strike Bell" is a Craft in ''Zero'' and ''Azure'' and a Brave Order in ''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie''. The Brave Order's name was changed to Cross Strike in the English releases of ''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie'', but the Craft's name was left untouched.

* ShapingYourAttacks: Her second S-Craft(which becomes a regular Craft in ''Reverie'') ''Divine Crusade'', ends with her firing two magic bolts from her pistols which then fuse together into the shape of a giant flying bird.

* GratuitousGerman: In "Zero" Chapter 3 Day 2, when counting down the race, she uses German numbers instead of Japanese.

* CrossAttack: His new ''Carnage Raid'' Craft in ''Reverie'' has him deliver a cross slash at his enemies with Berserker before firing a [[MoreDakka full-auto volley at them]].

** The name of his blade rifle, and by extension his 3rd S-Craft, was changed from "Berserga" to "Berserker" in the English versions.
** Likewise, his Brave Order was called "Loud Warrior" in the Japanese script, but was renamed "Proud Warrior" in the English script.

* LimitBreak: His S-Crafts in ''Zero'' are Crimson Gale and Death Scorpion, with ''Azure'' adding in Berserker.[[note]]"Berserga" in the original script[[/note]] [[spoiler:''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie'' keep Berserker as his S-Craft, with Crimson Gale becoming a regular Craft. The latter game also allows you to upgrade his S-Craft into Berserker Mk. II[[note]]Berserga Shin in the Japanese version[[/note]] by completing his and Gaius' Trial Door challenge.]]

* SadClown: All his womanising and gambling antics along with being a BigBrotherMentor while being constantly aloof? It's to hide his PTSD and his past as a jaeger.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Not him but his weapon. Is it called "Berserga" or "Berserker"? The official English localization for ''Cold Steel IV'' settled for the latter.

* HealThyself: His ''Seventh Shot'' Craft, upgraded to ''Septenary Shot'' in ''Reverie'', can restore some of the party's HP and CP after doing damage.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Wazy's name is printed in Japanese materials as "Łazy" (which is still pronounced "Wazy"). That is, the Polish/Slavic "dark L". Though that ''is'' the proper use of a dark L, most Anglophones don't even know how to pronounce that at a glance. XSEED apparently decided to dodge the issue and localized the name as "Wazy" when they translated ''Trails of Cold Steel II'', and this stuck when NISA took over.

* StatusBuffDispel: His ''Akashic Arm'' S-Craft gains the ability to cancel all enemy buffs before applying damage in ''Reverie''.

* DeathFromAbove: Her "Hien Souzan" Craft from the first ''Daybreak'' game has leap upwards, send her chain-mounted claws down upon her opponents, then drop down and slash them herself.

* GratuitousForeignLanguage: Her Brave Order ''Buzhihuo'' (不知火 literally meaning phosphorescent flames in Mandarin) in ''Reverie'' is the only one spoken in a different language from the others.

* {{Lunacy}}: She has strong lunar motifs to her character. Her first major role in the Arc-en-Ciel play is as the Moon Princess as opposite to Ilya's Sun Princess. Her Crafts all have names based on the moon ([[ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks Falling/Phoenix Moon,]] [[InvisibilityCloak Moonlight Butterflies,]] [[LimitBreak Paraselene/Pearl Moon Dance]]), claims in her identity as Yin that she can reach anywhere the moon shines, is affiliated with the Heiyue (黑月, literally meaning ''Black Moon'' in Mandarin) crime syndicate, and her primary element and Master Quartz are of the mirage element. The moon having many phases and appearing at night tie into her dual identities as Yin, the assassin, and Rixia Mao, the dancer of Arc en Ciel.

* OneHandedZweihander: She has no problem wielding (or [[ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks throwing]])) her {{BFS}} singlehandedly.
* PaperTalisman: Across the series, she's had two Crafts that utilize these: Exploding Talisman from ''Zero'' and ''Azure'', which has her throw an exploding one, and "Enreifu" from ''Daybreak'', where she uses one to self-buff.

** In her "Hien Souzan" Craft from ''Daybreak'', she sends them down on the opponents.

* SeriousBusiness: Mishy, the mascot character of Michelam Wonderland. Her room is full of MWL merchandise (and later some Kagemaru goods), and her room decoration scene is about her love of cat-related things. At one point, she gave Sully a lecture on the importance of Mishy, and the one question she has to ask a fortune-teller is, 'How compatible are Mishy and I?'. When Lloyd accepts a request in ''Azure'' to act as a stand-in for Mishy due to the usual actor feeling unwell, she dons a Mishette costume to follow him around to judge his performance while also threatening to [[LittleGirlsKickShins kick his knees until they break]] if she found his performance sub-par.

* TearsOfJoy: Played for laughs when the group visited Michelam Wonderland. It gets played much more seriously in Chapter 4 of ''Zero'', where she cries after receiving wholehearted support from Lloyd, Elie, and Randy.

* RedOniBlueOni: When visiting Michelam Wonderland, she is the Red to Sully's Blue.

* HonoraryTrueCompanion: [[spoiler:He already acted as a secondary mentor to the new class in ''Cold Steel IV'', but he ends up forging a bond with the group as a whole after sticking with them for a decent chunk of the game.]]

* BackToBackBadasses: Her her respective [[CombinationAttack Combo Crafts]] with Tio and Noel have them back-to-back while attacking the enemy.

* AnimalBattleAura: He has a tiger-shaped one that appears during his first S-Craft Tiger Charge.

* ParentalSubstitute: To [=KeA=].
* PlayingWithFire: Several of his S-Crafts produce this, such as Tiger Charge and Rising Sun. Fittingly, his secondary element becomes fire after getting an ARCUS from ''Cold Steel II'' onwards.

* BackToBackBadasses: Does this with Tio and Noel in her respective [[CombinationAttack Combo Crafts]] with them.

* BeamSpam: Her Aerial Cannon and Divine Crusade S-Crafts, with the latter adding {{Roboteching}} and YinYangBomb for extra awesomeness.

* BigFancyHouse: Unsurprisingly of the granddaughter of the city's mayor, her family home in the Residential District is rather sizable and lavish.

* EtTuBrute: Having considered Dieter and Mariabell as a father figure and her best friend respectively, Elie is quite hurt by the reveal of them being EvilAllAlong.

* FriendToAllChildren: Is shown to be quite decent with children, starting as soon as the prologue of ''Zero'' where she comforts a distressed little boy who got lost in the Geofront, to getting Xin to (temporarily) behave, and acting as [=KeA=]'s mother figure.

* GirlsAreReallyScaredOfHorrorMovies: Her [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes fear of ghosts]] also extends to other horror-themed attractions as she's shown to be scared even of the Horror Buster ride in Mishelam.

* LightningBruiser: She's one of the fastest and strongest member of the party, and in ''Reverie'', can be made into a decent evasion tank to off-set her average health and defenses. Her Moonlight Butterflies Craft grants her the [[InvisibilityCloak Stealth status]] for 2 turns, which makes her immune to damage and makes any attack she lands a guaranteed CriticalHit, and also adds a buff to her STR and SPD for 4 turns in ''Reverie'', letting her hit harder and faster.

* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Her hair, eyes, sword, and second outfit as Yin are purple, and she'sa deadly LadyOfWar on the job as Yin, and a graceful dancer and NiceGirl while off the job.

* RealityWarper: [[spoiler:When using her powers, [=KeA=] essentially ''is'' Demiourgos, the Sept-Terrion of Mirage, with some of the powers of Time and Space thrown into the mix as well, making her incredibly powerful. The entire purpose of the Azure-Zero Project was for [=KeA=] to rewrite the ''entire history of Crossbell''.]]
** She already pulled this off on a smaller scale [[spoiler:by having the SSS meet up with Estelle, Joshua and Renne while solving Renne's familial issue.
