* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Zane's father, Garte, was an extremely bad person. There were dozens of rebellions under his rule; Zane used brute force to bring them back together after his father died.

TheHero: While not the protagonist, Garroth is certainly a perfect hero; there are very few outward flaws with him. All the girls loves him, all the guys want to be him.

* Asskicking Equals Authority: Zane's father, Garte, was an extremely bad person. There were dozens of rebellions under his rule; Zane used brute force to bring them back together after his father died.
* Complete Immortality: He simply cannot die. Sometimes, in fact, he does sustain mortal wounds, but he simply reforms in the Nether. This is due to the guy who plays him being an egomaniacal sociopath in real life.
* Death Glare: Few people can endure Zane's look of fury without whimpering or begging for mercy or fainting. Fortunately, he doesn't show it often.
* Everyone Went To School Together: Zane, Garroth, and Vylad, among others. Justified in that they're brothers, but the others come from the strangest of places; IE Tychon, or Lord Syraton's younger brother.
* Shipper on Deck: With lots of characters, including Aerihean and Rhea, Fiacre and Dawn, as well as Taylor and Gene. He shipped Lyanna and Asorah and even made a betrothal, but then Asorah died. Fortunately.
* The Usurper: Downplayed because he was next in line for the throne anyways, but he murdered his tyrannical father in order to usurp the throne and bring stability to O'Khasis. Some still see him as a usurper anyways.
* Token Good Teammate: Definitely. He hangs with Shad, his son is Asorah, and he worships Morghash. He's also the son of a madman. While there's plenty of good in his realm, he tends to be the voice of reason most of the time.

* At Least I Admit It: Zane is an awful human being, killing innocent people in anger or razing entire cities to the ground. But he does agree and accept that he's a bad person, we can give him that.
* Asskicking Equals Authority: Zane was originally the High Priest of Morghash and heir to O'Khasis - so still in a position of authority. But then he ends up kicking the asses of all the other gods to the point where he literally ascends to godhood himself and rules the universe. This is bad for most people.
* Beneath the Mask: Now, while Zane is a bad person, he treats his wife, Arissa, infinitely better than anyone else - even his own brothers. He never raises his voice toward her or threatens her, even when she orders to have him arrested. See, he does have feelings.
* Complete Immortality: He simply cannot die, ever. This is due to the guy who plays him being an egomaniacal sociopath in real life.
* Death Glare: Few people can endure Zane's look of fury without whimpering or begging for mercy or fainting. It's even harder to endure it when it's combined with his God Mode.
* Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Zane's killed several deities. Windar, the god that killed his first wife, was the first. After him was the rest of the gods excluding Lithar, who got a free pass for some reason. Later, he ends up killing Graulix, the evil god of madness and chaos, by stabbing him with a sword seventy thousand times in a row.
* Everyone Went To School Together: Jorfrenn, Tychon, Zane, Garroth, Vylad, Shad, and Fiacre. A prince, a king's guard, literal god, god's brother, god's bastard brother, fellow demigod, and god's cousin.
* Guardian Of The Multiverse: He's literally god, and frequently boasts about being able to do anything and everything, which he can. Although unlike most rulers, he gets directly involved in worldly affairs, resulting in lots of exclamations of "No fair!".
* Shipper on Deck: With lots of characters, including Aerihean and Rhea, Fiacre and Dawn, as well as Taylor and Gene.
* Token Evil Teammate: He might be a bad person, but there are people out there who are worse, and sometimes you need Zane on your side to take them out.
