Despite this, his profession has caused many others his age to withdraw from him, even going so far as to call him disgusting when he in fact has an obsession with cleanliness.

She found herself immersed in studying plants, as she had nothing else going for her. Though, with her discoveries she did find herself acquainted with several scientists, though of course they were all adults and nowhere near her age. She's unused to being trusted or spoken to in a friendly way, and it was an honest surprise to her to be treated so kindly when this incident began.
