Naturally, this stalling gives Baloo time to notice him threatening Will, at which point he gets swiftly killed.

* PsychoForHire: Downplayed in that it's not confirmed whether he's paid for this particular aspect, but his behavior and mannerisms when he has Alice, Will, and Raksha at his mercy, plus his inner monologue, heavily indicate that he's the resident sadist of the Novum black-ops unit.

* SoftSpokenSadist: While he has Alice, Will, and Raksha at his mercy, he goes so far as to describe exactly how he plans to kill and dispose of them in a completely calm tone of voice, all while taking his sweet time just to watch them squirm.

A male ''Anomalocaris''.

* BreakTheBadass: His armor is split during a confrontation with another member of his kind, and it takes him a while to recover mentally and physically from the stress.
* DemotedToExtra: Never made any further appearances following the resolution of his loneliness problem.
* FluffyTheTerrible: He's one of the first apex predators on Earth, but seriously, he's named ''Squishy''. This was deliberate (according to Nathanoraptor) to show his BadassDecay after having his armour split.

!!Spiny
A juvenile male ''Dimetrodon''.

* AllAnimalsAreDogs: For a Dimetrodon, he acts rather catlike. He hisses when angry, is fond of climbing and briefly stalks Lubbock like a cat stalking a mouse.
** [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Originally, he was supposed to act like a dog,]] but Nathanoraptor vetoed that idea. [[CreatorBacklash Drew was not pleased,]] as he wanted to use Spiny to promote a different fic, ''Dinosaur King Retold!''.

A very, very, ''very old'' male ''Liopleurodon''.

* AnimalsNotToScale: While downsized from what he was in his home series, he's still ''sixty feet long'', making about three times larger than the max size for ''Liopleurodon''. WordOfGod is that they wanted him to be more realistically sized by still large compared to his portrayal.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: He's the old bull ''Liopleurodon'' from ''Series/WalkingWithDinosaurs''.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: He's named after the Greek god of ''death''. Enough said.
* SeaMonster: {{Downplayed}} - he's only an animal, but is far more sinister than many of the park's other rescues.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: The crew drags him off the beach and into the waters of the present before he suffocates under his own weight. At the park in "Age of Giants", he's starting to recover.

An elderly male ''Tyrannosaurus''.

* NoRespectGuy: Despite his efforts, his past experiences combined with the inherent nature of his idea for training the allosaurs has left him stuck in this position as of "Feathered Dragons." [[spoiler: May finally no longer be the case as of his major successes with the allosaurs as of the end of Phase 2.]]

* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: He and Jack manage to somehow play cupid for the Dunkleosteus without major incident despite being unwittingly given an appropriate book on animal husbandry that's written in French and forced to IndyPloy their way through.

** May have happened again with his experiences with the Dunkleosteus in "Alien Empire."

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Only appeared once prior to very late in Phase 3. [[spoiler: Turns out, he's von Grimm's mole.]]

* ProperlyParanoid: While a bit off target, he's not wrong to worry about [[spoiler: Drew finding out about his being the mole as well as the sinister operation going on thanks to von Grimm. After all, unknown to him, he's already got three members of the park staff already aware that there is in fact a mole working behind the scenes to sabotage the park. Furthermore, assuming Leon doesn't end up [[NotWhatItLooksLike accidentally mistaking Alice for being the mole,]] he could very well end up becoming suspicious enough of Duncan to sound the alarm to Drew.]]

Has been working to shake off this reputation ever since though, and may very well have finally succeeded as of the end of ''Nightmare Labyrinthine''.

* ShipTease: With Yolanda.

* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Shows spades of this.

* ShipTease: Starts to get a tiny bit of this with Collete in "Passport to Hell".

* ShipTease: Has a couple of moments with Leon in "The First Steps" and, later on, in "Feathered Dragons". She later has a ''very'' promising moment of such with him during ''A Glorious Dawn''.

* FlatCharacter: Has hardly received any further development beyond her introduction. To be fair though, as Drew Luczynski has made quite clear, she would have received more development by now if it hadn't been for [[CreativeDifferences several events beyond his control]]. [[spoiler: However, as of much later chapters, she seems to be shaking off her initial flatness]].
