* BewareTheSuperman: Zein is one of the, if not, most realistic and disturbing examples of the trope not just for the entirety of the franchise, but for tokusatsu as a whole. It pretty much embodies all the worst traits of all Kamen Riders, taking their sense of justice into subversion and tyranny. Tsukasa and Ohma Zi-O were already menaces in their own right since they all use the powers of every previous Rider, Zein can do the same, taken to the logical extremes. Even otherworldly villains like the Hundred Organization aren't safe.

* BewareTheSuperman: Zein exists solely to represent all the worst traits of every heroic Kamen Rider; its usage of the Zein Cards through the namesake Rider is meant to picture the idea of the Kamen Riders' willingness to use their powers for evil instead for the sake of a greater good.

As shown in episode 33 of Gotchard, Zein doesn't take too kindly to competition with other villains such as Hundred.Hundred.
*** Zein does not take too kindly to the prospect of being surpassed by another Kamen Rider, much less a heroic one.

Added DiffLines:

* TheSociopath: Zein has an inflated sense of infallibility and moral superiority towards humans. It has a very twisted worldview of right and wrong. It is incapable of feeling any empathy for others, let alone feign it. It has little to no sense of consequence for its atrocities, claiming that its goal to KillAllHumans is a necessary step to eradicate malice.

* PayEvilUntoEvil: Zein rewards villains that it comes across with -- ranging from brutal and grisly beatdowns to slow and painful deaths imaginable, no matter how they deserve every moment of it and regardless of the severity of their transgressions. Just ask Banno, Mimei, and the yakuza who transformed into a Ride Player caught terrorizing random bystanders.

* NoNonsenseNemesis: Zein's very presence alone is what makes Outsiders as one of the darkest spin-offs in the franchise, and its influence is even felt in subsequent seasons and beyond. Zein never engages in comedic antics, makes no bones in its brutality towards any opposition, and is straightforward in its subversive views on justice.
