Was going to revert that until I saw Casanova wasn\'t a redirect to The Casanova. Still, The Casanova sounds terrible in a sentence.

Taiga Touma is the protagonist of the story and quite an open lecher. Surprisingly he actually seems to be rather successful in his pursuits despite the story beginning with him messing up. While he begins as an ordinary student living in Japan, he and his little sister are soon dragged into an alternate world called Avatar where the pair quickly receive their own Aether Relics as they join the Savior Class training to save the world. His sister just wants to go home, but Taiga figures if he saves the world he'll get his own harem. Due to coming from an advanced scientific world, his mindset is rather opposed to the principles magic is built on and thus has no aptitude for it, rendering him a pure brawler. While his TheCasanova attitude gets on the nerves of his classmates, they do come to realize his sincerity. His Aether Relic is Traitor and it takes the form of a ShapeshifterWeapon with a default short sword form.

Berio Trope is the healer and support unit of the group. She is very devout and is often found in the local church. While she is very nice to most people, she and Taiga start off on the wrong foot and he squabbles with her almost as much as he does Lily. That said, they do appear to reach an understanding quite early both in relation to how Taiga sees his duty and Berio's own skeletons in the closet: Her background as a quasi MafiaPrincess and a kleptomaniac split personality known as Black Papillon.

* BadPowersBadPeople: Played with. Lobelia is a necromancer and the only one of the old heroes to become evil but the idea that necromancy is bad is shot down on two points. First, necromancy is just another branch of magic and is in fact related to holy magic like Berio’s and secondly Lobelia being TheResenter had to do with her thinking people believed this about her powers rather than the actual truth.
* GrandTheftMe: Necromancy allows the user to steal bodies unless stopped. Thus, we don’t know what [[spoiler:Lobelia]] originally looked like, only that she was heavily scarred.

Added DiffLines:

Downy Reed is the final teacher of note at Floria academy and something of a sarcastic jerk. Taiga immediately starts to dislike him. Downy, for his part, is offended at Taiga's disrespectful attitude. Like the other two teachers shown, he is a highly capable mage and also a proficient swordsman.

As should probably be obvious from the page layout, he has been working for the Lords of Ruin all along.

Added DiffLines:

Shezar is a bloodthirsty killer with no interest in how the world will end up after the battles are all over. He began as the killer in a murder/theft pair but eventually killed his partner and father for unknown reasons. His only pleasure lays in spilling blood, but oddly enough he's the only member of the Lords of Ruin who seems to value his companions.

Added DiffLines:

Mudou is a giant of a man and a master swordsman. While not quite as interested in killing for its own sake as Shezar, he still places no value on human life and is a rather open rapist. Like Shezar, he seems to have little interest in what his side is actually doing and is mostly concerned with accumulating power and either killing or raping people.

Added DiffLines:

Imnity is a mysterious young girl who is in fact a spirit embodying the White Law, otherwise known as science, causality and the law of survival of the fittest. Unlike the others, she is mostly lacking in malice or grudges and seems to believe in the cause, though she can still be quite cruel at times.

Added DiffLines:

Lobelia is the final member of the Lords of Ruin. A thousand years ago, she was a hero who eventually began to feel outcast and unwanted. She became the White apostle and turned upon her friends and allies when they refused to support her over Rubinas. She is a powerful necromancer and genuinely believes in the goals of the group, but she seems to be mostly driven by thoughts of spite and revenge for the perceived betrayal from her former allies.

Added DiffLines:

While his {{Casanova}} attitude gets on the nerves of his classmates, they do come to realize his sincerity. His Aether Relic is Traitor and it takes the form of a ShapeshifterWeapon with a default short sword form.

Added DiffLines:

Kaede Hiiragi is the last Savior Candidate summoned. While she initially puts up a cold, businesslike front so that she'll be taken seriously as a ninja, she's actually fairly ditzy. On the other hand, she really is an amazing hand to hand fighter with a great deal of training, belying her incompetent seeming attitude. Unfortunately, due to seeing her parents killed in front of her, she has a strong fear of blood that holds her back as a fighter. Kaede comes from a world more like our own than one of magic, so like Taiga she has no aptitude for it. Instead, she's a FragileSpeedster who uses a tonfa as her primary weapon.

Added DiffLines:

Rico is the summoner of the Savior Candidate class, though oddly enough she does not remember summoning Taiga. While those with the aptitude to become summoners are rare, this does not necessarily make them strong mages. She is in fact the member of the class with the lowest battle aptitude ratings and consistently loses against her opponents after the first match. In terms of abilities, she's quite fragile and tends to make more use of support skills than direct attacks, thought not to the extent that Berio does. She is extremely quiet, but she's the only member of the original class that has an even slightly favorable opinion of Taiga from the start.

Added DiffLines:

Nanashi is a bizarre girl that Taiga literally stumbled upon while exploring a tomb with Berio. Not noticing her, he followed the fleeing Berio outside and was followed by Nanashi, who showed up in his room that night. Charmed by the extremely cute girl who confessed her love to him, he was all ready to get some action going. Unfortunately, her arm fell and she cheerily announced her undead status. In terms of personality, Nanashi is quite the ditz, though she also shows some surprising skills. She has great knowledge of medicine and by means unknown is capable of matching the Savior Class candidates despite not having an Aether Relic of her own. Despite her rather open affections and cute appearance, Taiga finds her abhorrent and tries to stay away due to her corpse like body temperature, glompy behavior and tendency to fall apart.

Added DiffLines:

Lily is the class ace and a top notch tsundere. She is very hard working and proficient in destructive magic, though her healing and support leave something to be desired. In contrast to Touma, she has always lived in magic influenced worlds and thus finds the studies of science to be as difficult as Taiga finds magic. However, due to her competitive nature and desire to be the best she begins studying it with renewed vigor when Taiga and Mia join the class. Lily is arrogant and dismissive, but her attitude is an obvious front to cope with the pain of having her entire world destroyed by Ruin when she was a child. Lily is the most openly hostile person to Taiga in the class [[SlapSlapKiss in a manner of speaking.]] She is highly combat oriented and focuses on sharp, fast magical attacks.

Added DiffLines:

Mia is Taiga's little sister and was summoned to Avatar at the same time he was. Unlike Taiga, she just wants to go home, though she's unwilling to leave without her brother. Despite being more intelligent than Taiga or Kaede in general, she also shows no aptitude for magic due to the world she came from. She's also not as powerful as they are and tends to rely on her Aether Relic Justy, which is a very powerful bow. She is extremely possessive, does not care much about the world she has been summoned to and is often at loggerheads with resident {{tsundere}} Lily. However, despite her obvious and massive infatuation with her brother, she is willing to stay and fight alongside him despite his loudly declared goal of assembling a harem.

Added DiffLines:

Added DiffLines:

When wandering around between classes one day, Taiga and some of his classmates stumble across an arrogant little pink haired girl, who demands that they show them about the academy and especially the facilities of the Savior Class. Eventually, she 'accidentally' gets them into a fight with some monsters and disappears while they are busy. Soon after, it is revealed that she is actually [[PrincessRule the reigning monarch]] of the nation and a clever strategist and diplomat despite genuinely being the age she appears. Despite her declaring her love for Taiga in several routes, she did not have a route until the release of ''Destiny''. She has no combat ability.

Added DiffLines:

Muriel Sheerfield is the principal of Floria Academy and a natural guess for who ought to be a Savior Candidate. However, as explained early on, she is so powerful that nothing is enough of a threat to her for her to require her to call upon an Aether Relic in the first place. Thus, she is merely in charge of the academy. She is cold and practical in most matters, though she has a soft spot for adopted daughter Lily. True to her reputation, she is in fact an extremely powerful mage, though opportunities to see her in action are rare.

Added DiffLines:

Dahlia Hawthorne is the other teacher seen on a regular basis. She's rather spacey, but in fact is another highly talented mage. Taiga is much more interested in her chest, however, [[GagBoobs which gets its own sound effect when she moves about.]] Despite her ability, she is never available as either a friendly or enemy unit.

Added DiffLines:

Selbium Volt is Taiga's best friend at the academy due to the way they see eye to eye on everything. Though he's quite the flirt, he is primarily infatuated with Taiga's sister [[HopelessSuitor who never takes him seriously.]] Despite his rather undignified role, he's actually fairly popular, thought not the same extent as Taiga. Sel is not proficient in magic nor does he have an Aether Relic, but he is in fact a highly trained soldier and fighter.
