* FourLeafClover: He has a four leaf clover shaped patch on his cloak.

* DontCallMeSir: Byakuya insists that the party doesn't address him as "Prince" or "Your Highness" or other such titles in an attempt to try to lay low.

* AdorableEvilMinions: As you'd expect, they're Junko's minions. KillerRabbit And if you try to put aside their bloodthirstyness... they are pretty cute.

* BoringButPractical: He’s a JackOfAllStats character with his only good stat being Luck (which is the most trivial stat), and has no way to directly damage enemies besides his normal attack. His main purpose in battle is giving [[StatusBuff Status Buffs]] to allies and [[StandardStatusEffects status ailments to enemies]]. According to the devblog, he’s also the only one immune to and can cure the Despair status, one of the worst status effects in the game. Despite all that, unlike most support magic users in RPGs, he for the most part avoids UselessUsefulSpell, and can be a big help in boss battles.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Curry, going by his bio in VideoGame/AbsoluteDespairGirls. The item ‘Royal Curry’ heals his HP 100%, while for everyone else it only heals 50%.

A gloomy scribe that keeps to herself and pushes everyone away, [[ReclusiveArtist but is well known among the high class for her novels.]] She is spotted in the Hope Village shop, getting yelled at by an NPC and then yells at the shopkeeper for not selling ink. She fights using black magic.

* ThePenIsMightier: She uses [[ImprobableWeapon quills]] as her WeaponOfChoice. In addition to her physical attack, [[ScratchDamage not that you'd want to]], she also uses it for spellcasting as a MagicWand of sorts.

* RousingSpeech: His first LimitBreak, ‘Cheering of Hope’ is probably this. It gives the whole party the Protect and Shell positive statuses.

* PaperMaster: Her first limit break is Paper Storm, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin which fires sheets of paper at the enemies.]]

* AntiHero: Yasuhiro is a NominalHero. He seems to be OnlyInItForTheMoney, which he forced Makoto to agree to against his will. Despite this, his heart is in the right place, so he’s not that bad of a guy.

* FortuneTeller: With up to 30% accuracy. Also, if you check the crystal ball table in his tent, he offers to tell a party member one fortune for free.

* OnlyInItForTheMoney: He joins Makoto because he ‘forced’ him to agree to pay him in return.

* TreasureRoom: Despite the so-called “debt” he claims to have, His "basement" is this. It’s implied that he’s dodging payments so he doesn’t have to part with his money.

* MilesGloriosus: A rare female example. Komaru attempts to convince Makoto that she's able to fight by claiming that she'd "[[ShoutOut punch a]] [[MematicMutation bee and not care]]", thinking that her inability to fight is the reason he's not allowing her to go with him. However, given how quickly Komaru reduced to tears during the Monokuma attack, it's unlikely she'd follow through with her claim if given the opportunity.

* BigBrotherWorship: Downplayed. She respects Makoto, but it’s not to the point of worship.
* CowardlyLion: Cowers in fear when Monokuma breaks in the house and attacks, but not long after bravely begs Makoto to let her help him.

* {{Malaproper}}: Komaru accidentally calls Prospero City "Purposeful City."

* NiceGirl: It seems to run in the family.

* TheTeamWannabe: Komaru ''really'' wants to go with Makoto.

ForGreatJustice: When Makoto and Yasuhiro tell him their goal, he tells them he likes their sense of justice.

* UnnamedParent: Neither of them have given names.

* FortuneTeller: With up to 30% accuracy, as how it is in canon. He can tell your party one free fortune each if you check the crystal ball table in his tent.

* LightEmUp: Has mostly light themed magic.

* VerbalTic: Says “dude” like in the [[FanTranslation Project Zetsubou translation]]. He also applies the -chi honorific to everyone’s name.

* Mook: They act as this.

The crowned prince of the Togami Kingdom. He goes out to investigate after Makoto and Yasuhiro alerted his father about the strange happenings, and "recruits" Makoto and Yasuhiro as his bodyguards. He fights with various sword techniques.

Touko's SplitPersonality. Early on, Byakuya tasks himself with finding and ridding of Genocider Syo once and for all. The player is said to able to switch between Touko and Syo via a skill that comes and goes called "Sneeze".

* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Downplayed, she seems this way, but Syo is not necessarily more powerful than Touko because they both have their uses. Touko herself is quite useful against regular enemies, but Syo can cause significant damage with just her regular attack, whereas Touko must use her SP in order to do anything.

Makoto’s sister. After the opening scene where she is shown as terrified of the Monokuma attack, she begs Makoto several times to allow her to join him, but he tells her no to keep her safe.

* GenreBlindness: She is extremely naive.

* WhiteMage: Yasuhiro also states that she can "do cool healing magic" like him. He also mentions to Mikan in the beginning that she's a nurse.

Kickstarts the events of the game when he predicts that the world will end at the hands of an army of bloodthirsty black and white bears. He specializes in healing allies and attacking with the light element.

* AntiHero: The most blatant of all the Anti-Heroic main characters in the game, (Besides perhaps [[TokenEvilTeammate Syo]]. He is a GoodIsNotNice PragmaticAntiHero or perhaps even an UnscrupulousHero.

* LifeDrain/ManaDrain: The devblog mentions that she can suck HP or MP out of enemies.
* PaperMaster: Her first limit break is Paper Storm, which fires sheets of paper at the enemies.

Touko's SplitPersonality; an infamous serial killer who has killed hundreds of men. Early on, Byakuya tasks himself with finding and ridding of Genocider Syo once and for all. The player is said to able to switch between Touko and Syo via a skill that comes and goes called "Sneeze".

Aoi is a fisherwoman in this AU who hails from Flotsam Port. She has lived a relatively normal and quiet life despite the activity of pirates in her area. The loss of her brother, however, has deeply troubled her and caused her to help the party out on their quest while hoping to find her brother along the way

* Anti-Hero: She’s a goddamn SerialKiller. This is to be expected.
* Boobs of Steel: Notably averted because she has the smallest bust of all the female party members, yet has the strongest physical attack, even stronger than the one who does have BoobsOfSteel, Aoi. You can say this fact is subverted, because the primary alter is a physically weak mage.

* SymbolMotifClothing: Like Byakuya, he has the 十 kanji everywhere.

* BadassGrandpa: Though not a literal grandfather.

* AmazinglyEmbarassingParents: Right before Makoto and Yasuhiro leave for Prospero City, Mrs. Naegi reminds Makoto to change his underwear every day.

* OC StandIn: Yet another downplayed example. The only things he gets in canon are a mention by Byakuya in the first Danganronpa, and then he’s given a name and a few lines in Danganronpa Togami. He doesn’t even have official art. In this, however, he’s given a design, and overall does more than he does in canon. Not much more though, but at least he actually appears on-screen.
