** One episode has a pair of comedians show up played by Penn and Teller. Captain Sheridan wishes to talk to Zooty (who never breaks character and speaks only through a mechanical device on his shirt). Rebo tells Sheridan that Zooty has only broken character once, and that is to ask "Why?."
At the end of the episode, Zooty beckons Sheridan close and whispers into his ear. When asked what Zooty said, Sheridan replies, "Because it (the mechanical device) tells me to."
