Sure, Palpatine still managed to cause a lot of damage before being finally killed, but the Bad Batch ensured that Palpatine would have to spend most of his time and resources on perfecting a cloning process instead of being able to focus on more important things like creating more extensive plans or creating other superweapons. The Galaxy will never know it, but our heroes unknowingly dealt Palpatine a blow comparable with Endor.

Sadly, not only is Fireball killed, but the accidental explosion of several bombs causes Rex and the others to get trapped. While the X Trooper manages to survive, in spite of Fireball's sacrifice.
