Servitor_2152: The Discussion page is your friend, folks. And seriously, eight-star deep entries on a WMG page? That's just stupid.

  • Helen accused Bob on screen of infidelity, even using the A word, in a deleted scene. Pixar could probably get away with it if they felt like it. More likely, Helen could be an unnatural redhead.
    • And who's to say that Violet, being a moody teenage girl and all, didn't dye her hair black to fit in with these "emoes" I've heard so much about?
    • It's supposed to be set in an alternate version of the 1970's. Violet's a beatnik, not a goth or emo.
    • It is? It seemed kind of 2000sy to me. Where's it say it's supposed to be the 1970s?
    • Syndrome's file on Elastigirl lists her last recorded activity as a Super occurring November 13, 1955, presumably shortly before or after the passing of the Superhero Relocation Act, which occurs 15 years before the main plot of the movie.
    • Then why are there computers in Bob's original workplace, at the insurance place?
    • Schizo Tech. Sometimes a cigar really is just a cigar.
    • Yeah: consider what, say, Reed Richards could do to the general tech level of the world if he weren't spending so much time fighting giant monsters and megalomaniacs. The Incredibles' world has to have at least one such genius—in fact it explicitly does, and his name is Syndrome—and if s/he spends time inventing stuff and releasing it to the general population rather than just using it on supervillains, it could have a huge effect in a fairly short time.
