Cantonese doesn't get its own entry?

This troper would also like to add to the "older generations not speaking Mandarin" bit. His grandmother lives in Shanghai but only speaks the dialect of her ancestral hometown. This has led his mother and just about every family member in that generation (except his father's side) to be tri-lingual- Shanghainese, Mandarin, and Granny's dialect. It also confuses lots of people who expect her to speak Shanghainese. So just because it's an old person living in the region doesn't mean the dialect they speak is local.
