From YKTTW Working Title: The Lethal Connotation of Guns and Others

Richard_W: The trope may be valid, but that's a rubbish title...

Pro-Mole: YKTTW with 0 replies? Come on! I'm watching you, mister! X(

Some Sort Of Troper: See forum for some trope talk. I really find it dubious that the one example there doesn't seem to actually fulfill the description. That indicates that the idea really needs a lot of examination, there was a straight aversion that makes me think that it was actually produced by somebody thinking "well that's not normal... but what exactly is normal?" and then trying to make the trope without a particular example in mind.

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: Yes, it would be cleaner to kill this trope. But I believe there is a valid idea behind it — that it could be viable, esp. with a rename. I'll see if I can demonstrate — the main page might not be the best place for this, but it's better than nothing.

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: Okay, I've rewritten the description in an attempt to expose the hidden trope. Now it just Needs A Better Title — how about The Most Dangerous Weapon?

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: I see my work on this trope somehow made it briefly invulnerable to cutting... Oh, man. This is the converse of an existing trope. We have Instant Death Bullet. So, this trope as currently written is about the phenomenon where only bullets are Instant Death...

Fanra: The problem I see with this "trope" is that it isn't fiction. Guns are the result of hundreds of years of research and development with the only goal to make a better killing machine. There is only one use for a gun, to kill. While, of course, there are times when it is highly useful to have one to kill the bad guy or the charging bear or the deer to feed your starving family, it is still a device for killing.
