- This troper remembers seeing this as it happened to Empty Night, a comic on
KeenspaceComic Genesis from 2002. Even e-mailing the authors at the time to express appreciation and advise them on compressing their images better. The reply indicated that they would and would keep at it. Soon after, the HTML of the site got borked and the comic never updated since. A pity, because even to this day this troper loves the punchline to the last comic.
