Mr Etaoin Shrdlu: Pulled one of the quotes at the top of the page because it doesn't fit. There was an explicit and logical explanation for why GLaDOS survived.

fleb: So does the deafening silence mean the Cut List'ing wins universal approval?

CAD: The original YKTTW title for this was "Immune To Death". It's distinguishable from No One Could Survive That! in that here, you actually did find the body and/or witnessed the death first hand, only to have the character inexplicably brought back, as if the death never happened in the first place. It's like Not Quite Dead, except he is dead, not just "not quite" dead, and you aren't given a reasonable hint that the character could still be alive (like falling off a cliff, signs of survival, or seeing the finger twitch). For all intents and purposes, the death happened, yet gets reconned.

This trope has had a good reputation, I don't see why it should be cut. All the examples seem to me to be in the proper places as well.

(random helpful troper) : I removed this example, because there is NO explanation as to how this fits into this trope.

That's all it says. There's no explanation as to how this fits into the Staying Alive trope, which CAD explains above.
