Dr Namgge: Took out the line:

Why hasn't Megaman been mentioned yet? Almost every single enemy is a robot!

As it follows this example just a few lines prior:

Doesn't seem like the Samurai Jack example is a subversion, really. Just an extreme example of the trope. I think a subversion would have been if Jack dismembered scores of non-robotic mooks.

Ununnilium: No, that would just be an exception. Samurai Jack plays with the trope by using robots, but having their deaths be just like those of fleshier beings, with the oil-blood and such.

Looney Toons: Nameless person at 66.250.190.112, per your phrasing:

The Jackbots in Xaolin Showdown, nevertheless the gregarious use of The Hit Flash was deemed neccessary anyway.

Please note that a "gregarious use" is a use that is very social and likes talking to people. One very rarely finds uses like that.

I'm not sure whether this is part of the same trope or a different one, but The Prequels and Sat AM Sonic are two examples of shows with robots that appear to be sentient and have individual personalities, yet are still Okay To Kill even in a kid's show. IIRC, Sonic even had a scene where Sonic walks into a bar full of off-duty robots and kills them all, including the robot band. This is especially confusing when the whole point of roboticization is to make mindless slaves for Robotnik. —anonymous comment
