Prfnoff: The trope title was mine. I added it as a red link to the Death Trap page, but I don't think it was ever instated until after The Great Crash, when Paul Robinson and Silent_Hunter created it. Can someone explain what is wrong here?
Etrangere: I just find it distasteful to refer to the Shoah as a jokey name for a kind of Video games trap.
Bob: So we should think out another name for it then? Poison Gas Trap? Doom Is In The Air? Green Gas Equals Death?

Gemmifer: Since when does the wiki have to be so politically correct? The title is expressive. I'm very, very sure that still living holocaust survivors are not in the TV Tropes-using, fandom-as-a-lifestyle age. They'll never get to see this page.
Silent Hunter: I only actually added the reference to The Holocaust there- the rest was the work of others- and I did not propose this. Having visited Auschwitz myself, I can see the potential offence this could cause. I apologise for not spotting this sooner.
It definitely needs a rename.

Medinoc: IIRC, the discussion ended with people choosing to rename into Doom Is In The Air, which was done. Then The Great Crash happened. I suggest we just re-rename it now and not discuss further.

Kizor: How about we rename it into something inoffensive and be done with this sordid affair? Deadly Gas is very nifty, but taken, so I suggest Doom Is In The Air. Fire at will, please.
Bob: Having Doom Is In The Air as the article for all forms of poison gas was the original idea I had. Does merging Deadly Gas and Gas Chamber and expanding on the article sound like a good idea?
