Could somebody please explain to me the tropes that Better Days deconstructs?

Epiblast: Absolutely. Just look at their contents. If they were originally supposed to be about separate things, they've completely failed in that respect. Their descriptions are essentially synonymous as well, even though the latter begins in a way that makes it sound at first like it might be different from this. Also, I agree with Steve The Pocket. A great many "furry comics" don't involve situations that would only work if the characters are anthropomorphized animals, and I don't see much point in making the distinction here.

I thought it was the other way around. Kevin And Kell aside, most of these would mostly still work with human casts. In fact, I kinda thought that was the whole point; they're given Petting-Zoo People casts for no real reason other than the artist prefers to draw them as such (or the fans prefer to see them as such). - Steve The Pocket
Adding to what Steve The Pocket said, I see Funny Animal and Furry Comic both applicable to human replacements. The Funny Animal page states "the Funny Animal might as well be a human being". A contrast should be made to Sci-fi or Fantasy Comics - most often in these the non-human characters belong to their own race. Furry Comics do not justify this. - Jaabi
