Confusion. I can understand using it as torture, but why would you force-feed hunger-striking protestors except because you don't want them to die? And if that's your reason, why's it bad? And then if people complain about it, why bother? And why complain, since no rule says you have to stop protesting just because you've eaten? If anything they just helped prolong it..
