Ununnilium: I say "their" works best.

Later: Taking out the part about Mutsumi, because there isn't any resolution to the relationship situation in the anime, and in the manga, it doesn't really fit the trope at all.

Still later: Why do we not have Romance Tropes? u.u

Scrounge: Feel free to make it. Or wait and see if someone else does. I won't be doing that tonight, though, work tomorrow.

Solandra: Don't know how old this discussion is, but we have Love Tropes now. =)

Roxana: Many a female Tolkien reader, almost all of whom identify with Eowyn, have found it hard to forgive Arwen for sailing in at the end and snatching Aragorn away from her - even with Faramir as consolation. Personally I detested Arwen for years until I saw Liz Tyler. And don't you just love the look on Han's face when Leia comes out with that line? Sort of a 'huh' followed by 'how can that be?' and finally; 'Who the heck cares!'
  • Arwen didn't "sail in at the end" (unless you want to argue about the writing process), they had already been engaged for forty years.

Fuzzy Wulfe: Corrected the line for Cardcaptor Sakura about Mei-long. She didn't declare they were never enganged; she made a promise that she would be engaged to him unless he found someone he loved the more, the one he loved the most. She truly loved him after he went out into the rain to find her missing bird, and she made him agree to the promise of the engagement during tea shortly after.

Eponymous Kid: Fruits Basket didn't need to be mentioned twice. Ctrl + f to search the page.

Big T: Kinda like your statement? That's a joke. I realize you were just letting people know that you removed a duplicate and telling them how to prevent them in the future. I just couldn't pass up the snark.

Cambdoranononononono: I'm tempted to delete the Love Hina example altogether; it comes across more as a brief confirmation that the other girls still have crushes on Keitaro than an attempt to resolve anything, for me. Basically, I'd say the difference is that between "Character A has to be with Character B to be happy" (this trope) and "Character A and Character B are already happy together and Characters C+ are disregarding the couple's feelings if they continue to pursue Character A" (not this trope). There are maybe some other points that qualify, though the fact that Keitaro "chose" pretty early in the series (and the fact that most of the characters were more or less aware of this) mucks it up a bit.

Hugh Man: Deleted the paragraph on Naruto. It wasn't really an example, had some natter already, and depends so much on the reader shipping one pairing that it seemed like natter-bait. I just thought it seemed best if it went. Was that right?

Kchasm: I don't understand the Shana example. I mean, I don't even like or read Shana, but, you know, an example's an example.
