Tulling: What is a human/angel clone? A clone is a exact copy of something, how can one character be an exact copy of two different kinds of being? Could it be that "hybrid" would be more appropriate (not that I have seen the source material)?

Kendra Kirai: Well, she's a clone of a hybrid. There's lots of her, but only one 'soul'.

Looney Toons: More precisely, Rei Ayanami is genetically engineered; the majority of her DNA comes from Gendo Ikari's dead wife Yui, but DNA from an Angel has been spliced in (what has been replaced and what has been kept is never precisely explained, but since Angels and humans have almost identical DNA it could be almost anything except that which covers appearance).

Nobodymuch: Of course Marvel comics still uses the world "android" to refer to artificial biological organisms like the Human Torch and the Vision.

The Defenestrator: For some reason I thought Caro from Nanoha was also an artificial human (part of Project F).

Servbot: Nope. Caro's just an ordinary exile from her Summoner tribe.
