Ununnilium: I don't think it's "logic" as much as it is skepticism and mundane explainations. The weird explaination *is* the logical one, really.

  • Vexle: Seconded. The author of this page is a Straw Vulcan. Logic is a system by which information can be evaluated, but the usage here seems to imply that logic means "in keeping with accepted knowledge." This is not even slightly what logic means. There are many situations where alien wizard vampires ARE the logical answer, and Scully is skeptical anyway. She is not any more or less logical than Mulder.

Daibhid C: How is Frank Grimes an example of this? There's no supernatural explanation for Homer's continued survival that he's refusing to accept. It simply doesn't make sense, and he's the Only Sane Man who's not Genre Savvy enough to accept it's just the way things are in The Simpsons.

Daibhid C: Since no-one argued with this, I pulled it.

Furious Fish: Deeply religious? Scully is a thorougly lapsed Catholic who briefly flirts with returning to her faith in a few episodes. In one of the early episodes she says that she "can't even remember the last time" she went to confession. None of the religious episodes change her all that much - continuing to wear the crucifix is about as far as she goes. Someone care to weigh in, or I'll pull the line.

Novium: deeply might be pushing it, but I'm pretty sure that it was part of her character. It's been a while since I watched a bunch of episodes, but weren't the episodes about faith usually about her? Wasn't that kind of the juxtaposition, that she was scientifically-minded, but had faith, whereas mulder tended to go and see proof in the silliest of things, because he was always searching? "i want to believe" and all that. To say nothing of the last scene in the series finale. Hmm. I have a better idea, i'll check the other wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_scully#Faith

siaru: Admittedly, I haven't yet read even half of the content here, but I'm surprised not to find some mention of Harry Potter's Hermione Granger as a Scully here, especially considering Luna Lovegood's inclusion as a Mulder. Granger's "According to 'Hogwarts: A History'..." is a running fanfic gag in H Pdom.
