Daibhid C: I changed the bit about "other Trek novels" all standing alone. This may have been the case once, but the one I'm currently reading follows on from the previous Next Generation novels, adds elements from the DS 9 Relaunch series, and includes a quick reference to Star Trek New Frontier. There is definitely a continuity here.
