Dizzying amusement abounds here.

What are some of the worst possible things one could see on TV? Maybe, some self-serious camp, lousy special effects, blinding use of oversaturated colors, and overall nonsensicality.

But, in some cases, it can be done very right. This is one of those cases.

As soon as you turn your screens to the "Pie-lette," you'll never want to go back. The show deals with dead things and the man who can bring the dead back to life (but not in a zombie-like way), and yet (excuse my possible cliche here) it's so vibrant and full of life that you just want to keep on watching. The humor is so offbeat that even if you don't get it, you think it's funny anyway. It's just like Raising Hope and Community in its quirkiness and delightfulness.

And, even if you're not big on pies (like myself; I prefer cake), you'll want to start eating every conceivable flavor after seeing the wonders that Ned, the Pie-Maker, serves at the Pie Hole.

Just let the glorious sensory overload pour over you, and Pushing Daisies will give you the happiest days of your life. You'll want to watch it again and again, preferably with friends who haven't seen it yet so you can envy their first time encountering one of the most marvelous comedy-like shows ever produced on TV.
