Startlingly Good

If you have ever played with Legos or love tropes (or both) you really need to go see the Lego Movie ASAP. The animation is spectacular, with eye popping details that will make you want to watch the movie again and again to pick them all out. The number of shout-outs and crossovers boggles the mind, and The Reveal at the end of the movie is incredibly well done. The message of the movie is neither heavy handed nor thrown in, and resonates deeply with the "Special" generation raised on Disney and Sesame Street. It's also one of the most genuinely funny movies I've seen in a long time and a lot more fun that many so called "adult" humor flicks.

Uh... to be honest I have no idea what you mean by "special" generation.

I think what Full Paragon means is that the "Special", that Virtuvius said would save the LEGO-verse, and what the hero Emmet would become, is that movie's version of The Chosen One, or a particular destined hero meant to save the world. However, it also pertains to how back in Disney and Sesame Street that he made it up and that Emmet WASN'T really destined to be the hero. But he COULD be. Anyone could if they just believe. Belief is a strong feeling that makes the magic real in kids shows, but it also gives a meaning to adults of this age having grown up with Disney and Sesame Street, that we can do anything like the "Special" can if we put our minds to it, which is why I also believe the message is well done, and even works hand-in-hand with the reveal.
