When Moblins first appeared in the series they were anthropomorphic bulldogs. This carried over through Zelda II, A Link To The Past, Link's Awakening, and Ocarina of Time. Link's Awakening also had a version of Moblin that were anthropomorphic pigs as a secondary species. However starting with Wind Waker, the bulldog Moblins were replaced almost entirely by pig Mobilns.
Some people don't like this aesthetic change, (They Changed It, Now It Sucks!) and leaving the bulldog Moblins in the remake would have been a welcome nod to the series' past (Continuity Nod).
Ron the Death Eater: Does that argument really hold up? People in real life can't choose whether or not to wake up. The Wind Fish can. Also, he outright lied to Link to keep him from knowing the truth and never considered whether destroying a world that had become real would be worth it. There's a lot more that made him unsympathetic than "He wanted to wake up."
Edited by sugaricequeen Hide / Show RepliesI agree, I'm even tempted to put up a Draco in Leather Pants entry, in fact.
Could someone explain the entry about Moblins listed under They Changed It, Now It Sucks!? I was the one who deleted it before, because it doesn’t give any context as to what it’s referring to or what’s bad about the change. Specifically, what is the “cool Continuity Nod” in reference to?
