To paraphrase Freud. Sometimes a movie is just a movie. Not everything is about Trump. Its a kids movie and should be free of politics and Leftist indocination. Surely Disney is above that. Also also many of the immigration policies the media is ranting about are hold overs from the Obma Era. If they are a problem now why werent they a problem when Obama was in office?
I dont think the beast or Fairy Godmother had that kind of power. Simply put evil does not stay dead, especially if the plot demands it. Basically the writers brought then back.
Of couse Mal enjoyed being evil. Evil as a drug is one of the world's most addictive substances. Good is a choice you have to struggle to make every day. It wouldn't be a stuggle if evil tastes like greenbeans rather than chocolate cake.

I'm making a note on this here because it is a bit controversial, but I would like to point out that Descendants shows strong Values Resonance in the Trump era, with increases of hate crimes being committednote . The "heroes" and "villains" factions are divided by hatred, and they continue to antagonize each other, with the main aesop being tolerance, and not letting the actions of your criminal parents shape your destiny.
