Beast is barely called out by the others for his actions or has to acknowledge what he did to Villains Kids and apologize. Considering the Beast was already impulsive and prone to rash decisions in his movie, it would make sense for him to carry that trait here, and have the characters --especially the Villain Kids whom he had impromised-- call him out for his decision onscreen. This would make the make the film less black-and-white, and showcase that even so-called "heroes" can do shady things.
