I know Humans Are the Real Monsters is a popular trope, but how does that even apply here? As far as I can remember there has never been any force in this series that wasn't human or made by humans for human benefit.
Welp, Scott pretty much confirmed that the first three games are only a coma dream the child has before he dies and the fourth game is the only one that's "real".
Edited by TheDoomSong Hide / Show RepliesIt's not confirmed. It's only implied. Feel free to mention it, but know that it's not outright confirmed.
Somebody once told me the world was macaroni, I took a bite out of a treehttp://www.scottgames.com/ has updated again. It appears to be about the Halloween update, but since we don't have any confirmation, should we put it on this page or the Fnaf main page?
Are people *sure* that this is at all concurrent with 2, and that this even the so called Bite of 87?
The TV shot gives the year as 1983. The Toy Animatronics seem to be MIA (though they show up as *actual* toys in the night 3 minigames), the Golden Suits seem to be in full operation and there's no Puppet shown anywhere.
The 2nd game referred to "Fredbears", and I think this is what it is.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't understand why everyone is assuming that the incident at the end of the game is the Bite of '87, or that the cut-scenes are flashbacks and the nightmares are brought on by a missing frontal lobe. The second game already implies that the bite occurs to Jeremy on Day 7 (of the second game), especially since the date is explicitly shown as 1987.
I interpreted the ending as the kid dying and becoming the Puppet (given his crying and color scheme). As the Puppet, he becomes the driving supernatural force of the series, and this shows how that came about.
Pretty sure it's because the original teasers for the game featured the number 87 (as with the whole, 'Was it me?' shtick). Upon release, though, those numbers became 83s...
I have done the duty of removing all instances of the Bite of '87 on both the game's page and the character pages, due to the accident being an Ambiguous Situation.
Please do not add any Bo87 references in the pages until the accident gets some proper explanation from Scott (if ever).
The Bite of '87 aside, there's no evidence that 2 and 4 are concurrent, especially when 2 explicitly refers to Fredbear's Family Diner as the "old" restaurant. Everything asserting that the two games are concurrent should be removed as well.
HOLY HELL CAN WE JUST SETTLE ON A SINGLE SOLID DESCRIPTION FOR THESE WITHOUT SOMEONE CHANGING IT EVERY WEEK
Try to please everyone who isn't going to whine about everything like a complete dickWait, here's a BIG problem with some of the edits:
They're assuming the child in the mini games is the same person we're playing as.
But the layout of their room is entirely different, as is what's in the hallways outside of it.
I think we should hold out on actually saying the mini game child is the player character child until we get a definite answer.
Given that the trailer has been released, should we cut the teasers from the main page like we did with the other games?
There could be another teaser or two later, but now we have direct information about how the game works.
Can we finally settle on what to use as the page image's caption? Everyone keeps changing it all the time.
My personal favourite was "Are you finally ready 4 Freddy?"

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like this one even more than the one mentioned above. These just keep getting better.
and the tear Jerker page, and the Funny page
Use splash all day everyday.Cut for being speculation. There is not enough material out there for YMMV subpages to be justified.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat never stopped the other Five Nights games from having those subpages with very little material, plus speculation was and still is allowed on them. I'm curious as to why it's being enforced now.
Because someone brought it up in Ask The Tropers.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat seems a bit unfair. Those trailer images are plenty horrific, and justified a Nightmare Fuel page. If we're supposed to add the images to the page in October, what's the point. Anyway, if it's unnecessary, I respect the decision, but we have a new picture to freak out about.
I am guessing that enough material has been released to allow for a page.

I don't think that there is any need for the "Phone Guy" description on the main page as the character doesn't appear in the game (with the exception of lower pitch, reversed audio of the his Five Nights at Freddy's - Night 1 call).
Fuck this account.
