- Fridge Horror / Crapsack World: Take a closer look at this cute little game and you realize you're getting a window into a world of atrocity. Not only is it a place where children are abducted on a routine basis, but in order to get them back, the birds must routinely sacrifice themselves in huge numbers. Yeah. See that glazed look in the bird's eye when it hits the pigs' building? That means it's dead. Not only that, you get to see its corpse bounce all over the place until it mercifully disappears in a puff. And if that wasn't bad enough, you see those tiny little pigs grinning at you in the later levels? Those are kids. But the birds don't care, they're willing to slaughter them all to the last. Cute game you guys came up with here.
Overanalyze much?
Hide / Show Replies^That's...not a very coherent response. And no, Willbyr's been around for some time.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storykyeo, you're really overthinking this. It's a game. An artillery game with a cute premise, that's gotten absurdly popular. Please don't be one of those people going on a crusade to have everything be Darker and Edgier by virtue of analysis.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, it's only a game, and gratitious violence like this is pretty omnipresent in funny cartoons/cartoony games. And yet, after watching the (mediocre) Israeli comedy sketch it's pretty hard for me not to think of the birds as suicide bombers.

It doesn't die right away. Listen closely, you can hear it pitifully grumbling "OW" as it hits the ground.
And even that final "puff" might not be a puff of death. If it is, Blu and Jewel die and come back to life quite a few times in Angry Birds Rio.
Just my opinion, but that may actually be a mechanic to get rid of the corpses (yes, in the game files, they're called corpses) and allow room for the other birds. Whenever a bird hits another bird, it either immensely slows down or just entirely stops in it's path and sends the other bird flying in the direction it was headed. Seriously, try it.
It seems that Angry Birds Trilogy (the retail Compilation Re-release for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo 3 DS) will include profiles on the game's characters. Here are all the relevent screenshots so far:
Hide / Show RepliesUnfortunately, Hal, Bubbles, and Stella don't (so far), but confirmed for everyone else.
RE: the last edit:
Not only is the note format not correct, I find it really hard to believe that Rovio ripped off a super sentai show to get the colors of the birds. Do you have a source for that?
If there's ever a nightmare fuel page. Maybe it's just me but the pig's laughter just unsettles me. hehehe...
Amusingly, the latest Singapore Navy advertising brags about their smart anti-ship/sub weaponry, then invites you to "see how angry these birds get."
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! How do you not win the level with the Eagle? Even when I've shot the fish can completely off the screen, the Eagle's killed all the pigs...or is that referring to the destruction percentage?
Anybody else think the developers are starting to let the fame to get to their heads? I mean, toys and a sequel I can understand, but a tv show? A movie? Trying to be bigger than Tetris?! I'm sorry guys, but you got several systems, several versions, millions of sales, and about 20 years before you will even get close to what Tetris is now, and Tetris itself is showing no sign of stopping.
But that's what I think. Anyone else agree?
Hide / Show RepliesI thought the movie was supposed to be Rio and the only thing that that had to do with this game was well, another Angry Birds game.
Read this article, it has all the details on their future plans.
EDIT: What do you know, Angry Birds beat Tetris after all.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Stella game series resembles a certain animated show?
