"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFrom the Sleepless in Ponyville part, I don't see why the whole "Luna goes into your dreams" thing was removed. It seems perfectly legit to me.
Hide / Show Replies^There are forums for these things, you know...
The answer is in the forums.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYes, but that doesn't mean everyone is familiar with them... a direct link to the right thread would be good. Would link myself, but I came here looking for that information.
Edited by DracoDei Christian Furry Brony D&D gamemaster & homebrewer^It's about to be restored.
The place is Special Efforts, Nightmare Fuel cleanup.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd like to give a hearty thanks to whoever did the work to restore this page, and to anyone who helped clean it up. It's still not perfect, but I didn't see even a single This Troper.
Am I the only one here that thinks that a ton of the examples on this page are complete reaches, and would at the most be fit for the Fridge page? They aren't scary at all, and are only slightly unpleasant when thought about. These pages are more for things that are directly creepy, not for things that are like "oh hey, the Apples losing their farm isn't good." That's not scary at all.
Edited by MONEYMAN Hide / Show RepliesOkay, why was the entry for "Putting Your Hoof Down" removed? It looked legit to me, it makes no sense why it was removed..
Son, I am thoroughly disappoint..Since there's now a High Octane Nightmare Fuel page, I think some entries (mostly from the Fan Works) should move over there.
Hide / Show RepliesWhy are we even having fan works on the show's pages anyway? I'm almost certain no other show has that and it seems slightly too self-congratulatory.
I think it's because, in a way, the fans of this show have helped to shape the show itself - like Derpy Hooves and the mention of DJ-Pon3 and bronies in the Equestria Girls video. So who knows, some of the Nightmare Fuel of the fan works might become incorporated in the actual show itself, since clearly the production team pays attention to the fan base. I myself would like to see a Shout-Out to Story Of The Blanks.
That picture isn't scary. It's just funny. She made tons of terrible faces in that ep, and it's the Kinda Unhinged Ditzy One that makes the Nightmare Fuel page? :P
Actually a girl.Re: "Lesson Zero" in Season Two. Who is JJ in Batman Beyond? I searched the Batman Beyond main page and character page for both "JJ" and checking the word "Joker" to see if it was ever preceded or followed by another J word to make a two-word name. I found nothing.
Christian Furry Brony D&D gamemaster & homebrewer Hide / Show Replies"JJ" is referring to Joker Junior from the movie Batman Beyond Return Of The Joker. He's really Tim Drake post torture and brainwashing. Here he is.◊
Edited by BlueRidgeMountainManPsychoshy actually would make a better page image than Pinkamena. That was Fluttershy bellowing at the top of her lungs with a crazed look on her face! Nightmare Fuel!
The Pinkamena image actually looks cute.
Edited by Captainhook Hide / Show RepliesAgreed. Either Twilight's Chesire Grin or her "Hi girls!" face would work since they both make Pinkamena cute by comparison.
Edited by AkoSiKuya32Agreed, AkoSiKuya32. Pinkamena nightmares are passe. Twilight Sparkle will now haunt your dreams.
Edited by CaptainhookI was babysitting at the time I watched the episode. The girls who were watching it with me were terrified when Twilight lost it. So, yeah. I support the change to Twilight.
Edited by HeinousActsZXYeah. When I saw the picture, my reaction was "Wait, that's supposed to be scary? I thought it was funny!" And the same thing with Psychoshy. If we're going with a different picture, we could use Twilight.
Edited by Captainhook I wonder what's for dinner?Twilight's Cheshire Cat grin would probably be the best page image.
Edited by CaptainhookI don't think Discord was corrupting the others JUST for fun (rather than cutting to the chase with Dash). He was FULLY neutralizing the IMPORTANT parts of the Elements... the spiritual aspects. Season 1 Episode 2 shows those are a BIT more important than the physical manifestations.
Christian Furry Brony D&D gamemaster & homebrewerOne question. Just what happens if the zombie ponies touch you in "Story of the Blanks"?
Never mind, I found out on You Tube.
Edited by DeepCI don't really see the "Spiked" punch thing as being Nightmare Fuel because you really have to grossly take the scene out of context to reach that point, especially since Spike merely being in the bowl, conscious or not would have yielded the same pun. Maybe an Unfortunate Implication, but hardly Nightmare Fuel.
Seriously? Nightmare Fuel pages for My Little Pony? Is the point of Nightmare Fuel to laugh at people who get scared by little kid shows?
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.
