Many of this tropes alternate titles actually seem more universal (it's not just about blue) and intuitive, perhaps one of them should be the primary title?

In my opinion this trope in the context of anime is a People Sitting On Chairs trope. Almost universally prevailing and usually devoid of any meaning.

Take it to the Repair Shop if you think something should be done.

This article lists Rei Ayanami and by association Neon Genesis Evangelion twice—under both "Impossible" and "Plausible" hair colors. Is there any consensus to which one should stay?

Albino is plasible.

Reading over the entry under "Impossible" again it would seem the "Plausible" entry for Neon Genesis Evangelion is more accurate. If there are no complaints I'm going to scrap the NGE's Impossible entry for consistency.

Should we change the name of this trope? There seems to be a significant amount of trouble with it on several pages, including itself, largely because dark blue (and sometimes purple) is very often just black hair in different lighting. At the least, it should be changed to pink or green, something that hair simply won't show up looking like in any light (aside from light that color, of course). I'd prefer a complete change, perhaps to Pink Hair Is Uninteresting- something like that.

I agree it should be changed, but mainly because most people use it only on reference to BLUE hair - when it refers to any unusual hair color. It's not unusual for a series to list this trope and the examples to be only characters with blue hair, even if there are people with, say, green or pink hair.

"In the color-pages of the manga, unlike in the manga, Lum's hair is actually rainbow-colored."

In the manga... unlike in the manga... wait, what?

So change or delete it- why did you want to discuss it?

In regards to Elisa Maza of Gargoyles, I feel the need to mention that her hair is meant to be black, which is why nobody remarks on it being blue. Because it isn't.
