The trope needs a new description, as the way it is currently framed it does not fit the trope namer.

"The kids are busy playing with each other, then one day a tremor goes through their innocent world: the parents of the two children are engaged in a feud! The group of friends have been ordered not to talk to each other, even to actively hate each other! It's obvious that their parents are holding the Idiot Ball and it's up to the kids to sort it out.

Maybe they run away, forcing the parents to put everything aside to find them. Maybe they resolve the argument by using their Disney exact child logic and showing the adults just how silly their fight is. Either way, by the end of the episode/film, the children have resolved their parents' problems and the status quo is restored."

In "Das doppelte Lottchen" (I have to work from the German original as I haven't actually seen the Disney version) the parents have been divorced longer than the two girls can remember, but since they live in two different cities it is a bit strange to say they are engaging in a feud (apparently they simply no longer are in touch with each other). Lotte and Luise each have their own circle of friends who are not ordered to stop speaking to each other or to hate each other (they simply had no contact with each other to start with). And while the novel sends the message that it is good if a divorced couple remarries, it does not suggest that the parents divorced because of a "silly fight". Also, if there is a status quo to restore, it is one that the two sisters never knew and may never have existed.

Uh, yeah, wow.

I was apparently 100% wrong about what this trope was, I thought it was about divorced children trying to get their parents together. Instead, it's a Feud Episode where the feud is resolved by the children of the feuders.

Trope description needs a rewrite? All examples I've ever seen of this involve the children of a divorced couple trying to get their parents back together.
