  • It's not exactly the same kind of badassery, but the literature (what literature exactly? please elaborate and move to the corresponding section) on what Russians imprisoned in The Gulag suffered through suggests strongly that at least some Russians would survive twelve hours of logging at -60 degrees Fahrenheit, naked, fed entirely on dishwater salted with plutonium chloride.

If someone has the context for this, please expand it and add it tot the literature section

In what specific work about the Gulag does it suggest that the inmates had to log at -60 naked and fed with plutonium chloride? This sounds really over the top and propaganda-like. Even the Nazis did not invent something so immediately lethal, and it was them, not Soviets, who built camps for extermination rather than forced labor. Stalin preferred his unpaid work drones to be alive and busy, not frozen and poisoned to death, thank you very much, and people whom he wanted to see dead were unsophisticatedly shot point blank with pistols, none of such sadism. He was a very rational sociopath, not the raving lunatic propaganda portrays him to be. It's Solzhenitsyn, right? Please, someone, identify this example and move it to Literature, since it clearly has nothing to do with Real Life.

I removed this Zero Context Example. Before restoring it, please carefully read the current trope description, make certain this is a valid example, and write a description explaining how the work uses the trope.
