Per TRS, the definition was expanded beyond science experiments.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.

Is this limited to science-related examples only?

So is a Real Life Section permitted? There have long been rumors, supported by the Wikileak emails, that the Clinton campaign engineered or at least supported Donald Trump as the Republican their candidate could most easily defeat. That would be Political Science Gone Horribly Wrong.

Or is it Too Soon?

Real Life Section.

Okay, so why can't the real life section be restricted to machines and technology examples?

I can think of plenty of cases where technology has completely fucked up.

The last edit. I periodically insert/answer something very non-paedowikian on fascism or socialism just to see how long it takes for someone to pop up and delete it without explanation while leaving all natter piles around. ;]

I'm putting this here instead of editing the article because I don't want to start an edit war, but this paragraph:

"The Large Hadron Collider can be used, amongst other things, to create microscopic black holes that would prove that there exists extra dimensions to our universe. Of course some people hearing this feared that the experiments would go so horribly wrong as to create Earth swallowing black holes. The probability for this to occur is in fact infinitely tiny."

should end "...The probability for this to occur is in fact completely unknown." The theory is that a microscopic black hole would disappear before it has a chance to do any damage. The reality is that no-one knows if that will happen because it's never been observed.

I think he creation of Mewtwo (from Pokemon the First Movie) and the deaths of all the scientists that created him would fall under this trope. Please add him.

Nevermind, Mewtwo is in the "gone horribly right" trope and I would have to agree that he fits in there better. This novice Troper will do more research before he makes another suggestion.
