Can this trope also apply to siblings? Surely, there must be clingy, jealous sisters who don't want their sibling paying more attention to anyone than them.

I can think of one. Fiona Coyne from Degrassi isn't social but her brother has always been there for her. He is actually very social and when he gets a serious relationship she acts out.
