Maybe I'm the politically correct bad guy here, but this title feels a little bit like Half-Breed Discrimination

Eugene Hutz is not 'self-professed Ukrainian Gypsy'. He was born in Soviet Union, but in the region that is now modern (and historical) Ukraine, and his mother was half-Ukrainian, half-Serva (Ukrainian Romani). Also, I'm not sure what is he doing here, as he lives and performs mainly in US and Brazil, where he is completely foreign (and is a more Token Twofer Minority being in part Russian. Ukrainian and Gypsy (Romani).

I don't know the character in question, but it's quite possible that this is a remnant of the time when this page was still called "Charlie Dog". The Trope Namer had a ridiculous level of mixed ancestry, and the trope referred to all characters with mixed ancestry. It wasn't the ethnicity equivalent to But Not Too Black. I feel like the rename broke more things than it fixed.

"Of the 14 people who are to decide the fate of the planet in X1999, 12 are Japanese, one is an artificial construct with the brain of a Japanese girl, and one is half-Japanese, half-generic-Caucasian. It's nice to see the rest of the Earth get a little representation. "

Who is the half? I've spent some time reading character lists etc, and Karen Kasumi seems like it but I can't find anything specifically claiming she has foreign blood.

Deleted Blue Eyes for X-men's Storm. On its disambiguation page, Blue Eyes has been split into six tropes. Please replace with one of those only if applicable. (i.e it fits the symbolism as well as the color)

Deleted this:

  • In Ranma One Half, Ranma Saotome serves as a perfect example of "just raised in another country but actually born here." He was born in Japan but his father raised him in China. After his return to Japan, he still prefers Chinese clothing. In his female form, he is often mistaken for a "China Girl." One of the theme songs was even titled "China Girl."

Ranma was never "raised in China". Flashback chapters indicate that he indeed spent most of his early life in Japan (as shown by meeting Ukyo as a child, and attending the same school as Ryoga). He was only in China for a very brief period of time, just long enough to fall into the springs, and come across the Amazon village. Plus, if Ranma had indeed been raised in China, don't you think he would have known the Chinese language?

Deleted: "* Shirayuki Berii, The Wesley of Tokyo Mew Mew a la mode, is half-French apparently just for the sake of being a cute Aryan, because it's explicitly pointed out throughout the story but has nothing to do with anything. Hwang Bu-ling, a previously established character, is fully Chinese, but fits the trope a lot better than Berii, practically advertising her ethnicity in her dress, speech and mannerisms.

  • Um, it was briefly mentioned that Berii's grandfather knows French. Sure, one of her school friends asks if he's French, but Berii was lying the whole time so Sakurako and Kaoruko would like her."

For being discussion in the main page, and because according to the second example, it doesn't at all fit.
