The picture is depicting an extremely appropriate example very frequently referenced by fans of Lost.

So, as a fan of the show, it pains me to admit that you're totally right and the image should indeed be changed.

The image we got right now is completely bollocks. The chicks fawning over him are completely irrelevant to the topic. And then there's even a 4th character, even more irrelevant, looking at it. Can we just have a picture of a sorrowful-looking character from one of the examples?

Suggest Name Change- Does anyone else think "Beard of Despair" has more.... uh... pop to it than Beard of Sorrow?

To clarify: (And hopefully not coming off too much like a Grammar Nazi) "Despair" means to give up hope, loss of hope, or a state of hopelessness. (See for example: Despair Event Horizon). "Sorrow", on the other hand, is simply a state of unhappiness. Beard of Sorrow happens when you go through a prolonged period of said unhappiness, or sorrow, commonly known as Depression.

It can happen with long periods of desperation, too, but thing is - you can be unhappy without actually being desperate, but not vice versa, and we're dealing with unhappy here.

Also, Beard of Sorrow goes nicely (in both name and in trope) along with Drowning My Sorrows, so a name change is unnecessary.

Hope that cleared things up for you.
