Is it okay if I say that Noah is a Foil to N? After all, Noah is meant to represent what N would be like if he didn’t make the selfish decisions that he made, and vice versa.

Greetings. I notice that the edit you made on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Ouroboros doesn't have an appropriate edit reason. When making edits such as removing examples or rewriting large sections of the page, it is usually a good idea to provide a clear explanation. Other tropers may otherwise not have an idea of why you are doing this. Edit reasons are also not for venting or conversing with other tropers. Thanks for helping us keep the wiki cool. Hello. I’m sorry, but it annoys me that you keep deleting my examples. I know that you have your reasons, and some of them aren’t entire incorrect, but I still don’t understand some of the reasoning. At the very least, even though I am annoyed with some of my examples getting deleted, I am at least somewhat grateful that you are letting me keep at least a few of them, such as Sympathy for the Devil. For Evil Me Scares Me, I know that “afraid,” isn’t the right word, but I do want to points out how Noah hated N prior to learning his backstory. This exact trope was used to describe how N feels about Noah (in that he hates him), so I don’t understand what we could say for the inverse. Also, I don’t get what the problem is with Have You Come to Gloat?. Noah’s in prison, N captured him, and N visits him while he’s helpless. Is that not what the trope means? For Ambiguous Clone Ending, you said that it apples to many different people, not just Noah and Mio. Who else in the game was cloned besides them? Again, I’m not trying so say that you’re wrong, but please be a bit clearer about your reasoning, since, I’m really trying my best ti give Noah his own character page, so any trope that I can find really helps. Thank you!

I didn't remove those except for Ambiguous Clone Ending, so I'll just comment on that one for now. Namely, another user moved it and then I deleted it due to how Noah and N aren't really clones but parts of the same person, and there is no real ambiguity that everyone got restored to who they were before Aionios happened (the only ambiguity is how much their experiences in Aionios might have changed them, given how Noah seems to recognize the Agnus melody).

I will add that you really don't need to be adding tropes with an agenda like getting the page big enough to take apart. If it happens it happens, but tropes should be added because they fit, they shouldn't be made to fit.

I moved Ambiguous Clone Ending because a trope that claims that one scenario fits four characters doesn't belong on a single character's sheet.

There are other issues:

  • Shoehorning tropes to pad out a character sheet.
  • Your edit reasons come across as you expecting someone else to proof read your writing post hoc.
  • I agree with Perentie in that making a character sheet for the sake of making a character sheet is not the way to go. A character that has more tropes isn't a better character than those with fewer tropes, they just have traits that are more tropable.

If the time comes where this page has to be split, I think it's more appropriate to do it by Ouroboros duo. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Okay. I get that. It’s just that I know, for a fact, that it has something to do with popularity. The more popular a work, the more likely it is to get more tropes (it’s true, and you all know it). As someone who really loves this game, I really want it to get more tropes, so , that way, it’s more likely to get recognized. I will probably try to keep adding tropes, and you can delete if that’s really what you want, so please, try to bear with me. Thanks!

Does Eunie count as Hidden Buxom? I had a look at her swimsuit and her normal outfit and I don't see much difference in chest size.

You mean Mio? I didn't make the entry but I certainly thought she was noticeably smaller than what the swimsuit showed. It's certainly not an extreme example regardless. Maybe a downplayed example?

I saw the edit history and thought I missed a one-handed entry in Eunie's character sheet and forgot to remove it.

As for Mio, I don't really see a dramatic difference so it should be a downplayed example at best. It's not like her normal top is shapeless.

Yeah, I think a downplayed example would be fine.

What colour is the cardie under Eunie's jacket? I said it was green as it looks more green in-game, but it looks more like chartreuse (green-yellow) in the official art. Should I keep it as green?

One version of the concept art does make her jacket look a lot more yellow (unless the photo/scan was faulty), but I've noted that in Trivia under What Could Have Been. Given her other unused jacket was also green, that was likely the intention with this one.

Should we have a different image for Ouroboros? Having them side by side works, but this is more dynamic.

The SE artwork is definitely better.

Where is it ever stated that four is Eunie's favorite number? I feel like her calling Taion that at the end is a piece of Shipping Goggles fanon that gets parroted as fact (I don't blame people as it is a cute ship and I liked it too), but not one that's stated as succinctly in canon as people have been making it out to be, especially since it's the kind of pun that only works in English, meaning it's highly unlikely to be the intended meaning unless other language scripts went out of their way to change the Fourtune Clover's name to match. I think things like that belong on the Fridge page as an example of Fridge Brilliance, rather than on the Character page.

I saw someone add that and I wanted to rewrite it to make the entry a bit more concise but it also didn't occur to me that like, I'm not even sure if she mentions that it's her favourite number. I probably might have been thinking of the similar entry on the Fridge page too.

Yeah, I've seen it in multiple entries across several pages, and I don't mind it being on YMMV pages so long as it's made clear it's a valid but ultimately speculative interpretation of the line.

Since all Ouroborus Heroic Chain depend on their role, why do we even bother putting them there in the first place?

Besides, "heroic chain" is something only the Hero characters have, as a special extra effect for fulfilling certain conditions in a Chain Attack. Ouroboros only have Chain Orders.

Would adding tropes about the DLC announcement be jumping the gun?

I think it should be fine, especially if it's visuals-based.

Adding some further info since apparently the Taion Core Crystal thing isn't even old knowledge and could've been troped already if it was known about. Apparently it was already heavily implied if not stated outright in a pre-release article (from I believe Famitsu) that Taion was intended to be some kind of Blade Eater, meaning he's augmented but otherwise a biological human. Hopefully this will offset any potential edit wars over the matter.

Good find! In hindsight, it would have been odd if he was the only human among Blades and Blade Eaters.
