I think we should move Spock Prime to the TOS character page. Even though this is a separate timeline, the fact remains that they're both the same character.

Regarding the name spoilers tag, I understand that we shouldn't put spoiler tags outside of examples, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the spoilers-tagged tropes regarding the character's identity attributed to the characters themselves? For example, The Reveal that Krall is Balthazar Edison is supposed to be the major twist of Beyond, so wouldn't putting his real name alongside Krall defeats this purpose? I'm just curious because it seems strange that we reveal his real name in his character title yet spoiler-tagging the tropes that reveal it. Feels counterproductive. You might as well make a new character example of Balthazar Edison altogether, call it SPOILER CHARACTER, then put all the spoiler-tagged tropes in there.

Per Handling Spoilers, spoiler tags outside of examples are not permitted. If you think the information is too sensitive to leave unspoilered, then leave it out entirely. It's not necessary to have Krall / Balthazar Edison in the character name listing; his name is Krall. It's the name he uses for 90% of the movie, and the name he's used for several hundred years prior to that point. That his name was originally Balthazar is the big twist, but that's what we have The Reveal for.

Personally, I'm extremely opposed to the very idea of spoilers in general. If you don't want to be spoiled then you shouldn't be on websites / pages on those websites that collect information about a given series.

Fair point. I'll just remove the spoilerific names out, then.

I partly agree with your opinion regarding spoilers. I would try to avoid any online reviews, pages or websites that detail a story that I haven't experience yet. But then, what would be the purpose of spoiler tags on TV Tropes? Other wikis don't have any spoilers in them. They just give a warning on the top of the page and let readers decide for themselves, and now some of the pages on TV Tropes have started to follow their examples. How do we know when to use spoiler tags and when we don't on this website?

Should we perhaps just put "unmarked spoilers" in the folder buttons or whatever they're called for Harrison and Admiral Marcus? The cleanup's done a lot in terms of spoilers but I wonder if that needs to be necessary. If not, I'll tweak one or two things.

Does Harrison's real name really count as a spoiler? It's just the editing has removed it, which means his entry doesnt identify him as Khan until near the bottom of the folder (also resulting in some of the tropes near the top of his folder not making much sense, because they rely on you knowing he was Khan). I also thought it was a bit odd considering his identity is revealed on the back of the home video releases.

I dont intend to change it, but I was wondering.

Yeah, I feel like him being Khan is very much It Was His Sled at this point.

And I haven't seen the movie.

It's doing that thing again where you edit the page but the edits don't go through and it says you're still editing when you're not...Mfw.

Requested a mod reversion on the unilateral removal of nearly all spoiler tags from the page. It usually takes about an hour for them to get to it.

I get that Zero Context Examples are a bad thing, but instead of just adding two percentage symbols to the front of the line to make it disappear, why not try to rectify the problem first? Seems to me that the wiki is going slightly mad in trying to do the right thing.

To quote your own edit reason: "Tried to expand further on some of the Zero Context Examples apart from one which I don't quite understand." It's important to get them off the wiki so people don't mimic the behavior.
