Should we indicate the playable characters in bold similar to HI3's sister games?
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VII Hide / Show RepliesI'd instead ask why the pages for sister games do that.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThe playable characters' folders are already in bold, unless that changed recently.
Someone did edit the examples to indicate the playable characters in bold, but they were a ban evader so the edits were inevitably removed by the mods.
Edited by ToonAbby "The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIISorry for the late response, but just to be clear, I was referring to the character names not being bolded in the main character index. NOT the sub-pages that already have the characters' name's indicated in bold. For example:
Example
- St. Freya Academynote
- Human organizations
- Schicksalnote
- Anti-Entropynote
- World Serpentnote
- Fire MOTHnote
- Honkai Beasts and Herrschersnote
- A Post-Honkai Odysseynote
- Other NPCs and historical charactersnote
- The "Captainverse"note
As you can see, I translated the names for the playable characters in bold text, which should for this game.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIShall we please design the home index as shown below?
Present Era Civilization
Previous Era Civilization
Enemy Groups
Miscellanous
- Other NPCs and historical characters: This page seems to long (Historical characters, Guests, Unaffiliated bosses, ELF's, Aliens, etc.) with the next too short.
- The Parallel Universes (the Captainverse, Teyvat)
Not to be confused with Anti-Entropy's Einstein. A major scientist of the Previous Era, this Einstein created the autonomous weapons known as the Equipment: Living Form (or ELF) in order to keep fighting the Honkai while also minimizing human losses.
- Dead Man Writing: While exploring the ELFs' village, Schrodinger stumbles upon a recording of this Einstein, who explains how the war against the Honkai turned human life into the most valuable resource, leading to the development of autonomous weapons, namely the ELF, as well as how adding directives to the latter uplifted them into highly intelligent lifeforms. When the 9th Herrscher launched a black hole attack on the Mu continent, Einstein and many ELF hives were sucked into it with no way out, with Einstein spending the rest of her life musing how the ELFs can live in the bubble universe free from the influence of humanity and the Honkai.
- Motherly Scientist: She initially regarded the ELFs as weapons, but when they gained sentience, she began to treat them similarly to humans and gave them the right to freedom. When the human society of Mu slowly died out, she helped the ELFs build their own civilization, thinking of them as the continuation of humanity and "the one thing she's proud of".
- Three Laws-Compliant: In this universe, humanity drafted two major directives of similar value to Asimov's Three Laws of Robotic, dubbed "Guiding Directives of ELF Behavior". The first directive was to regard any Honkai as hostile and defeat them; the second was to not harm any human. Einstein also added a third directive, which was simply to survive. That last directive would later become a point of contention for the ELF, whose intelligence grew beyond basic reasoning and started advocating for their rights on par with their human creators. Einstein, being their creator, eventually sympathized with their plight and gave them a fourth directive, which was the right to freedom.
Sooner or later, we'll have to divide this character page.
My thoughts:
- Characters.Honkai Impact3rd (turned into an index)
This does mean we'll finally be sorting out the bosses and NPCs into their respective factions.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Hide / Show RepliesI think so too, putting the page source in a word processing tool gives 217K characters, maybe we should really split the page now or soon.
With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationEdit: Sorry for the double post, might be my internet connection.
Edited by DanteVin With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationNo, bosses should be on their own pages, and NP Cs in their own pages. Keep the groups already in the current page, basically
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza@4tell0life4 My reasoning is that it wouldn't make sense to segregate, for example, Anti Entropy-affiliated bosses from Anti Antropy supporting NPCs, and that some characters are manga/manhwa-only. Think from a narrative perspective, not just gameplay perspective.
Edited by AnoBakaDesu "They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainAnti-Entropy was once an enemy but later becomes an ally. Schicksal was once our side but later becomes our enemies.
That's my concern.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaWhich is why I put "Characters.Honkai Impact3rd Supporting NPC And Organizations". I'm pretty sure you read that as "Allies page", which is totally not what the page means.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain^ but what would you put in "antagonists"?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaThen, how about this?
- Characters.Honkai Impact3rd (Main index)
- Playable Valkyries
- Human Organizations
- Honkai Beasts and Herrschers
- Other NPC and Historical
^ Looks okay
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaWhat's everyone else's take?
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainOne final holler before making the split. Is this suggestion good enough for everyone?
- Characters.Honkai Impact3rd (Main index)
^ I don't mind
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaThe page has nnow reached 250k characters. While I personally still don't feel any edit locks, it's best to proceed with a sandbox for the proposed subpages.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain^^^ That organization is good with me. I still have some boss pics to upload; I'll try to get that done ASAP.
EDIT: I'm done with what I can do.
Edited by WillbyrAnd done. Some slight reorganizing in the "Other NPC and Historical" could be in order.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainAbout the "Game of Honkai", I thought it's only in the Global version? (I'm playing SEA)

Where would the upcoming characters for 7.3 go? (Senadina, Helia, Coralie, etc.) Or are they not to be added to TV Tropes yet? I don't think they count as "leaks" by this point since the 7.3 PV came out recently, but this site does have a thing against content that hasn't released globally yet.
