A bit of a Space Whale Aesop, too, in that the outcome isn't really plausible in the real world- even taking it as a Hard Truth Aesop along the lines of Not Cheating Unless You Get Caught, you're going to run into the same issues that the inventors of the roulette computer and card counting did (and they just shifted the odds in their direction rather than always winning).
