Can you be more specific by what you mean by 'set piece'? There's the film production meaning
and the theatrical scenery meaning.

By setpiece I mean a big scene that can stand alone in its own right. Think Mia Wallace + Vince Vega Dinner scene or James Bond Parkour scene in Skyfall.

I am unfamiliar with your examples and I still have no idea what you mean.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.
