Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Actually, that depends on whether you follow AP style, Chicago style, MLA style, or something else. Ordinarily, I prefer Chicago (which would agree with you), but the work itself uses lowercase (as you can see in the page image), so they're obviously following a different style guide (possibly a British one, as it's a British work), and I'm not sure we should second-guess them. It is a matter of style, not a hard-and-fast rule.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Personally, I adhere to Strunk & White and they'd say to keep it uncapitalised, but whatev.
The work uses lowercase, so we use lowercase when discussing the work. We are not Wikipedia.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. Here at TV Tropes, we respect a work's right to identify how it wishes.
Nvm.

If you go to a library or bookstore website, you will find lots of titles with 'is', 'the', 'and', etc., lowercase. It really depends on what the book itself uses.
Also, Google search says 'is' isn't a verb.
Edited by Candi Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett^ So in other words, it depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Candi, where did you find the information that "is" isn't a verb? I've always been taught that it is; it's the third-person present tense form of the verb "to be".
Edited by GnomeTitanYeah I cannot think of a situation where "is" isn't a verb.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Because this is the title of something, I'd say the capitalization ought to follow the way the work does it. So lowercase "is".
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty(Mutter mutter)
Okay, that's what I get for only checking one site. -_- Sorry

East is East has a custom title that renders the "is" non-capitalized. This is incorrect as verbs are always capitalized in titles. Submit a custom title request to un-custom?
