Like how Japan was before Meiji Restoration?
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.

Hidden Elf Village is probably the closest we have to a trope about isolationism. Small, Secluded World and City in a Bottle might be related.
What tropes would cover an empire/city/species that shuts its doors to outsiders because it believes that foreign primitives couldn't possibly have anything to offer? Later imperial China (pre Opium Wars) is the obvious Real Life model. Not Absolute Xenophobe, since that implies trying to kill other species, rather than just keep them out.
