Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
"Death" instead of "Murder" of George Floyd . Calls the reaction of a global epidemic as "overblown" by the left? The "unnecessary " lockdown the cause of protests against police brutality instead of..well police brutality. Not exactly subtle.
That really feels like a whitewashing agenda.
The Literate example of how democracy is a tool of hell apparently. Making the "lowest" believing as worthy as equal to others and schools "hindering" education definitely seems like an agenda.
I knew this name rang a bell, and after trawling through my forum post history, it turns out that I have previously reported them two years ago in the RCEJ thread which led to the discovery of a litany of politically-motivated edits, including:
- Adding a Real Life example to Screw the Rules, I Make Them! which supported lockdown skeptics.
- Adding a Critical Research Failure entry to YMMV.Ready Player One which downplayed discrimination and made some nasty comments about minorities.
- Adding another Real Life example to Issue Drift complaining about "politicisation" of the Super Bowl.
- Complaining about about buildings and monuments having their names changed due to connections with slavery or segregation.
- Toning down language relating to the January 6 Capitol attack.

Edited by TuvokAlso, should Apocalypse Anarchy even have Real Life examples in the first place?
Edited by Azorius24 "The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".^ That's a matter for the NRLEP thread to decide, not here.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I've cut the first example reported. If The Screwtape Letters resonates with modern American conservatives (of which there are many, I've heard), I suppose it's an example. And the phrasing manages to not state agreement or disagreement.
In addition to being ROCEJ-violating in several ways, the removed Apocalypse Anarchy entry is also factually wrong. Now granted, I'm not in the USA, and I'm sure there was some rioting, but "entire city blocks went up in flames"... I'm pretty sure we would have heard that on the news.
^ Also not from the USA, but it's a very common conservative/MAGA talking point to claim that the BLM protests led to a near total breakdown in civil order that was suppressed by the lefty mainstream media, etc, etc.
"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".^Precisely. Another red flag about the troper's intentions, I'd say.
So should a notifier be sent? Or is the procedure different for agenda troping?
"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".I think ROCEJ notifiers should be sent, but as you yourself pointed out, this has been a long running problem, so I think they have been sent them?
Oh hi. Welcome to my page. Uh, I am a nice polite ND Canadian, and not a rabbit who has stolen a laptop I swear. Did you bring any carrots?I unfortunately have no idea if one was sent during 2022 or not.
"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".They've been suspended.
Alright then, I'll lock this Query

Hello all,
While I was just browsing tropes, I found an edit made to Apocalypse Anarchy by https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/SpacemanSpoof that is very slanted and against ROCEJ (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Main.ApocalypseAnarchy&page=8)
Looking through their other edits, I found this on Values Resonance/Literature (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=ValuesResonance.Literature&troper_name=SpacemanSpoof&edit_content=).
Am I off base here, or is this clear agenda-based editing?
