The example in question:
- Last Man Standing despite featuring a number of jokes at the expense of liberals has a pretty sizable left-leaning fanbase as they appreciate the show having three-dimensional female characters and a prominent gay character who isn't stereotyped and the show does have progressive messages at times. Plus leftists can relate to everyone getting annoyed with Ryan as many of them know at least one person like him whom they can't stand.
It's honestly written pretty badly, and it doesn't seem to actually fit the point of MLSG.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI agree. Either we do a re-write or keep it removed, though I still think the editor who removed it should be given a notifier for a ROCEJ violation in the edit reason.
Edited by DongwaChanFWIW, I think the removal is valid for reasons of factual accuracy (the claim made is rather bold, and I've never heard of any such fans), though I can see why the wording of the reason is not so good.
SoundCloudIf it matters, this was added by darksteel, who got suspended and went onto ban evade. I wouldn't really trust their claims on things.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYeah. It should stay removed, then. I still think we should send the user who removed it a notifier for the wording of the edit reason.
Edited by DongwaChan... kinda think the edit reason was fine. It's not wrong in of itself, the example doesn't even attempt to name a Speedy Gonzales in this case and instead the entire entry is just making the spurious claim that "actually, progressives think this show is pretty on fleek."
The closest the entry comes to Mexicans Love Speedy Gonzales is claiming "leftists sure do hate that feminist, who is written so astoundingly close to real life!" That is kinda the exact opposite of Mexicans Love Speedy Gonzales, but it's the only place the entry even enters the ballpark of "audience has a reaction to a character embodying stereotypes about them."
The removing edit may have been politically motivated, but only since it's removing a clearly politically motivated misuse and probable lie.

On Mexicans Love Speedy Gonzales, Clear Air Turbulence recently cut out an example concerning Last Man Standing with this edit reason:
"This doesn't apply - there's no example given of a "leftist" character that is loved by "leftists", this is just an excuse for someone defending right wing propaganda to say "Leftists love it too!""
I think like they were making a revision fueled by political bias (and not hiding it at all, judging by the edit reason), as the removed entry did attempt to give examples of characters "liked" by liberals. I believe it counts as a possible ROCEJ violation. What should we do about it? Should we give them a warning for it?
