Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

I've been getting that bug too. I think it's a compatability issue with Firefox, since I don't have this problem on Microsoft Edge.
Anyone else want to comment if they have this issue?
On Firefox, working properly, but I manually disabled WEBP images and I'm guessing WEBP is the bug.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I've been getting weird display bugs on my iPhone with Safari. The site still seems to function fine but it makes clicking on certain things difficult.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?No issue here. I'm on Chrome.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm on iPhone and safari and I have the issue. When will it be fixed?
Ah, wait, scratch that. I have the issue.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI got the issue on both Safari (on iphone) and on Firefox.
"I'll show you the Dark Side." CM actors and killsNo problems on Windows 10 Chrome, but I am getting it on iOS Safari.
Punt to bugs now.
I'm on Firefox, Windows 7, and I do see that certain icons are breaking.
EDIT: Started a Bugs query.
Edited by Excessive-Menace THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!Also on iPhone Safari and having this issue
Firefox, same issue, I also disabled WEBP so that's not the bug.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. No problem on MacBook Safari - but present on iOS Safari
Edited by STARCRUSHER99Unfortunately, ithe symbols are on my MacBook Safari. I could see the "yen" sign, the "copyright" sign and so on.
Edited by gjjones He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Opera Browser, Windows 10. No issue here.
Firefox on Windows 10, definitely an issue.
Firefox v. 89, Win 7, appears to not be detecting Text Encoding properly.
Posted in the bug link above, but it displays as 'Western' Text Encoding. Manually switching it to 'Unicode' fixes it temporarily, but refreshing the page causes it to break again.
I also have problems too. I also have problems with how large the boxes are for the Latest Trope Edits blocks and similar other ones, like Latest Forum Activity, which probably have to do with this as well.
Come play Character Uplift Game!Firefox, Windows 10, getting the bug.
back lolMy tablet uses Silk Browser, and that isn't besieged by symbols.
I'm having this issue in Firefox (Windows 10) and iOS Safari.
Edit: I checked on Internet Explorer since I occasionally use it when I need to have multiple browsers open at a time for other things. In case it ever becomes relevant, the bug's there too, plus folders and drop-down menus not working. Chrome and Edge seem to be working fine, but I don't often use them so there might be some issue unique to them that I'm not aware of.
Edited by Ghostninja109It's been happening in iOS Safari on my iPad; suddenly changed to it at random.
The icons are now fine on my end.
THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!Mine is also now repaired.
It appears to have been a glitch caused by a minor software update - the update's been reverted and they're going to investigate before trying again.
