Is it acceptable to just delete long explanations? I'm leery enough of deleting others' edits that I usually try to retain them while improving the indentation, or turning long excursions into hottips.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.I usually try to pare them down, since long explanations are often summations and inside jokes. I don't generally delete them entirely.
DoodlesI cleaned out VideoGame.Xenogears. Most of it wasn't bad, just some wrong Example Indentation In Trope Lists and a few undetailed entries that are now in the discussion page.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAwesome, but Impractical has a lot of discussion and a few "this troper"s on its Military page. Anyone know about weapons and vehicles?

True Companions is in need of some help. Also, What's the consensus on breaking some of this up into subpages? It get's pretty unwieldy, as it is.
DoodlesShould we just Hard Split it by Media Categories?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm thinking so. I can tackle some of the sections in terms of clean up, but I'm pretty out of it when it comes to anime manga stuff (seems to be one of the worst offenders). I used to know the shows, but not any more.
DoodlesSo, do we split it by folders then?

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYup. Not sure how to make the pages, but I'll happily copy/paste examples once made.
DoodlesIt should probably happen like this:
- TrueCompanions.Anime
- TrueCompanions.Manga
- TrueCompanions.Comic Books
- TrueCompanions.Fan Fic
- TrueCompanions.Film
- TrueCompanions.Literature
- TrueCompanions.Live Action TV
- TrueCompanions.Music
- TrueCompanions.Professional Wrestling
- TrueCompanions.Puppet Shows
- TrueCompanions.Sports
- TrueCompanions.Tabletop Games
- TrueCompanions.Video Games
- TrueCompanions.Web Comics
- TrueCompanions.Web Original
- TrueCompanions.Western Animation
- TrueCompanions.Real Life
Just move the folders into these subpages I am linking, then replace them on True Companions with an index of the subpages you've created, set the page type of True Companions to index+trope. You may also want How To Split A Page.

So anime and manga was apparently already created.

DoodlesI'll try to work on the Military page of Awesome, but Impractical, but it's probably going to be a long-term project, from the looks of it....
Jet-a-Reeno!I mentioned it over in the military thread, maybe somebody will help.
Fight smart, not fair.Tactical Suicide Boss could use a solid killing of natter, and would benefit from folderising.
Don't ask me, I just fix wicks.I've moved over Tactical Suicide Boss, zapping some stuff, fixing the Example Indentation and moving other items to Tactical Suicide Boss Discussion so that they can be cleaned. However, I have absolutely no idea about videogames work. Someone with more knowledge should go over that page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWoolseyism, especially the anime and video games subpages need Thread Mode chopped off.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerTackled Woolseyism.Anime and Woolseyism.Literature, but I am too tired to do the others as well. I pulled one example to discussion, but most of them had only to be fixed according to Example Indentation In Trope Lists.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFacingthe Bullets One Liner has a natter filled real life section.
New theme music also a boxCut the section. Let's hope next time people will keep themselves on a leash.

Hey, I just have a question: should I remove the real-life section for The Fair Folk? I mean, this trope is about evil (and/or morally off-the-wall) fairies in fiction, correct? As it is, it's just attracting natter about how humans and cats are examples of it in real-life.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Get rid of it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerGot it.
Edit: And... done. Added a No Real Life Examples Please link in the trope description as well, just in case.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. That shouldn't have to be said. Though of course it does.
The child is father to the man —OedipusTook a good whack at the naval section of Awesome, but Impractical/Military tonight....
